We were delighted to take part in Dorking's first ever festival of light, created to bring people together - to make something beautiful and experience More...Connection with the community to light up Dorking.

After being invited to attend a lantern making workshop, staff and relatives joined the parade and were proud to show our lanterns on this magical and wholesome experience. Thank you to Hello Dorking for helping us to connect with our community.

Christmas Day at Deepdene was filled with warm, togetherness and joyful moments. Everyone that lives with us received a festive gift, and the Lifestyle Team brought the magic to life by dressing up as Santa, Mrs Claus, and festive elves. There were hugs and lovely conversations as gifts were shared and Christmas wishes were passed around. It was a day full of love, companionship, and Christmas spirit.

We had such a lovely festive afternoon at Hillier Garden Centre in Dorking! Everyone spent time strolling through the Christmas displays and admiring all the decorations that brought the season to life. We finished shopping with some well-earned refreshments in the café. It was such a wholesome outing and filled us all with Christmas spirit.

Deepdene was lit last week as we celebrated Diwali. Everyone came together in a colourful tapestry of activities.

The festivities began with arts and crafts where we created beautiful decorations including rangoli and bottle lights that brightened up the space with traditional Diwali motifs. A virtual trip to India was a highlight, offering a glimpse into the rich culture and stunning landscapes of the country. Laughter Yoga - a popular practice in India - filled the air with mirth and positivity. The grand finale was a henna party, where everyone indulged in delicious traditional snacks and sweets. A demonstration on how to drape a sari was both educational and fun, allowing everyone to appreciate the elegance of this timeless attire!

The people that live with us at Deepdene, families, friends and staff recently celebrated in our beautiful garden with a Summer Fun Day.

Music and singing were provided by one of our favourite entertainers, saxophonist Kevin, and Johnny Quatro who encouraged audience participation with much singing and dancing. A day full of More...Fresh Air and More...Socialising!

The people who live with us at Deepdene enjoyed celebrating the Summer Solstice. Activities in preparation for the day included creating flower bands, a More...Creativity art session painting a Stonehenge picture and making fresh fruit platters.

Fruit platters with ice cream, Pims fruit punch and a selfie photo booth were highlights of the Summer Solstice garden party. Everyone enjoyed the sunshine and More...Fresh Air out in our garden, singing sunshine themed songs with good company and chat.
