Our Christmas Carol Service will be taking place on Thursday 11th December, led by the wonderful Paul Fahey.

All are welcome to join us for a peaceful and uplifting evening, remembering those we have lost, supporting one another as a local community, and spreading some festive cheer ✨

We choose our suppliers carefully, and Somerset Willow Coffins is one of our favourites.
Like us, they’re an independent, family-run business, now in their fourth generation. Their coffins are beautifully handwoven in Somerset using traditional skills honed over 60 years. The care and craftsmanship that goes into each one is incredible.
What we particularly value is the level of personalisation available. Each coffin is made to order and can be tailored in many ways: there are 15 hand-dyed colour options, different weave patterns, and various handle styles to choose from.
The coffins are made from sustainable willow, handcrafted in England, and fully biodegradable, which makes them perfect for natural burials.

They combines ashes with their own mixture of UK native wildflower seeds & other natural ingredients to create bespoke seed balls.

They have a wide range of options, and the flower mixes can be chosen by colour and soil type. A lot of the options are perennial, so flowers will continue to bloom from the ashes year after year.

The memorial favours shown can also be placed with service sheets at the funeral, so that those attending can plant them after the service, in memory of a loved one.

The packaging is made from recycled materials.

We had the privilege of hosting a truly beautiful evening on Thursday. A calm and comforting Carol Service taken by Rev’d Virginia Smith, followed by mulled wine, mince pies and other treats from Two Many Cooks. It’s been a pleasure to work with other local businesses to put the evening together. We look forward to holding the service again next year, for all those in need of comfort, company and companionship. Thank you to all involved and all who attended.
