That's it for another year and what a fantastic day it was. Big thanks to everyone who came along to support the competitors and we hope you all enjoyed the fun. Thanks also to all those who gave their time to ensure that games day was such a success. It wouldn't have been possible without you. We look forward to doing it all again on 7th August 2026. Get that date in your diary now.

That's it folks. It's the 2025 DHG tomorrow. The weather is looking OK and let's hope it stays dry for the whole day. Remember, you can buy your tickets in the Dornoch Square from 11:00 onwards. Cashless payment available. Then, why not join the march behind the Dornoch Pipe Band and the Chieftain to the Games Field, where Chieftain Hamish Macrae will officially open the 2025 games. Look forward to seeing you all there.

So, with only 4 days to go until our Chieftain officially opens the 2025 DHG, it's getting very exciting. Don't forget that you can get your tickets from 11:00 in the Square, which will save you having to queue at the entrance gate. Then follow the Dornoch Pipe Band, as they leave the Square at 12:15 and lead everyone to the Meadows. We obviously can't guarantee the weather on Friday, so make sure you come prepared for all 4 seasons!! As Sir Billy Connolly once said, 'It's not the weather, it's the clothing you wear that matters'. Local events (inc. the Heavy Events) start at 10:30, with Children's races at 11:00 & 13:45. Open events start at approx. 13:10. Register for all events either on the field or at the hut on the day. Visit our website www.dornochhighlandgames.org for more information. I saw a video of a Psychologist last week, talking about excessive smart phone / tablet use, who said that if the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning is reach for your phone / tablet, you definitely have a problem! I'm sure that many of us can relate to this, as we've become digitally connected to the world around us. Let's be honest, it's only going to get worse as technology continues to advance and we get sucked in to the 'social' media bubble.

Yes, it's that time of the year again folks. The countdown to the 2025 Dornoch Highland Games begins. Wow, only 57 days until Friday 1st August. As usual the Chieftain's Parade will leave Dornoch Square at 12.15
Tickets will be on sale from 11:00am
Contactless payment preferred with
cash also accepted.

Let's play the annual 'Guess the Year' game. No prizes but plenty of bragging rights for correct answers.

A reminder that there is a dance in the games marquee tonight, (10th August) starting at 8pm. If you've not already got a ticket, there are a few still available and they will be selling them at the door. (£15) Rhythm n Reel will be there to entertain. OVER 18's ONLY. BIG thanks to everyone who came along and supported the 2024 Dornoch Highland Games. Our Chieftain Hamish Macrae did a fantastic job and we look forward to seeing him again next year on Friday 1st August 2025. Thanks to all of the competitors for taking part and to all the volunteers for making sure the day went without a hitch. The weather was relatively kind, with the odd wee shower but nothing we're not used to in the Highlands of Scotland. It is summer, after all!!! 🤣🤣 Watch this space for a selection of fun photos from the day. All the best and see you again next year.👍👍

Finally, it's today. We look forward to seeing you all at the games field. Don't forget that you can join the Chieftain's Parade, leaving the square at 12:15pm. Oh, and why not buy your tickets at the square to save waiting in the queue at the games field gate.
