⚡ Extensive, prolonged lightning is forecast in the north of Scotland for most of Wednesday and Thursday.
⚠ This type of weather affects the network differently to the storm-force winds we faced last week, but it could have impact across most of the country, including in the Highlands and Aberdeenshire which bore the brunt of .
⛈ Lightning often results in only brief outages, as the smart technology built into our network temporarily shuts it down in order to perform rapid safety checks. Often your lights will be back on after a short time. But lightning as severe as what’s forecast this week could cause more serious damage to network equipment.
