Please note our usual opening hours have altered slightly in light of the upcoming Bank Holiday.

We will be open on Saturday 4th April however, for any scheduled bookings or queries.

If you need to get in touch outside of these hours, please feel free to leave a message on our voicemail service and we will get back to you as soon as we reopen. Alternatively, you may email us at hcfc@sdpodiatry.co.uk.

For any emergancy podiatry care, please contact your GP or seek advise via 111. If you are diabetic, and have serve foot issues, contact your local urgent Diabetic Foot Clinic. These may include:

Happy International Women’s Day ✨

Today we’d like to share some short stories of the women who were important female figures in podiatry. Both in history & still in today’s modern society.

“The success of every woman should be an inspiration to another.”

🦶🏼 Catherine Norrie & Margaret Swanson were sisters who inspired many pupils; choosing to share their knowledge in the curriculum of Chiropody.

As founding members of the first Society of Chiropodists in this country, the pair founded the Edinburgh Foot Clinic in 1924.

“There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.”

🦶🏼 The bar was set pretty high when F***y Potter - The First Lady of Podiatry, was at the very height of her profession during the mid-nineteenth century. During a time when women had few rights, she became a Podiatrist to nobility and royalty; including Queen Victoria. Having trained both her sons in the profession; this led to the founding of the College of Podiatry.
