We would like to extend our sincere apologies for being closed at the beginning of last week. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.

The closure was due to a very special occasion — the wedding of our esteemed team member, Ben. Ben has been an incredibly dedicated and valued part of our staff, and we are delighted to celebrate this wonderful milestone with him.

Please join us in congratulating Ben and his Wife on their marriage. We wish them a lifetime filled with love, joy, and happiness.

Congratulations to our foreman Alan Heather

On this day in 1984 a 16 year old boy, applied to train to become a letter cutter at Cleverley and Spencer Ltd
(Not his first choice as he had his eye on becoming a carpenter first) but here we are 40 years later celebrating his massive achievement.

Over the last 40 years Alan has become a master at his trade and a truly talented letter cutter!

Our recently completed for Newchurch war memorial. We replaced 3 existing plastic plaques with 3 all polished black granite plaques.

Cleverley and Spencer is a family run Stone Masons based in Dover, dating back to 1869. We Work throughout Kent, London and East Sussex.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Memorial Mason to join our successful team based in Dover, Kent.

The successful applicant will be:

*Physically fit

*Full clean driving licence

*Experienced in outdoor and workshop working

* experienced within the construction industry preferred

You will also:

*Posses a “can do” attitude

*Understand this is a physically demanding job

*Possess good attention to detail

*Be able to work as part of a close-knit team

All uniform, PPE, tools and training will be provided.

4 days (36 hours) per week

Working hours 7.30am-5pm. Overtime may be available.
