Connect to Work, is delivered locally through Standguide as part of Working Well Norfolk, for Individuals who want to work, return to work, or stay in work but face challenges due to a health condition, disability, or other disadvantage.
▪️What it is
Connect to Work is a free, voluntary, personalised, health-led supported employment service using the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, approved by the NHS. It offers rapid job search help and longer-term support, including confidence building, CVs, job search, interview preparation, and in-work support with reasonable adjustments where appropriate.
▪️Who is eligible
Individuals may be eligible if they:
Live in Norfolk and have the right to live and work in the UK,
Are aged 18 + (with some exceptions for 16–17-year-olds),
Are either unemployed and ready to start work, or in work but at risk of losing it, and
Have a disability or long-term health condition or belong to a specified disadvantaged group such as:
• carers or ex-carers
• offenders/ex-offenders
• people with experience of homelessness
• veterans, reservists, and partners of armed forces personnel
• people affected by substance dependency
• care leavers or care-experienced young people
• survivors of domestic abuse or modern slavery
• young people at risk of serious violence.
Connect to Work is part of the Government’s strategy to link health and employment support and builds on the successful Working Well Norfolk programme.
