TC's Forever Home A forever home for special needs cats. We proudly support Donard Veterinary Clinic 💜 Our lives our dedicated to our cats and their needs always come before ours.

Here at TC's forever home we adopt those cats who are considered 'too old', 'not pretty enough' or are disabled or sick. We do not re-home them, instead we give them their forever home with us on a beautiful old farmhouse in the country. Prior to starting our forever home, most of the cats we had already adopted were elderly, sick or unwanted and so we decided to start our sanctuary in order to give more of these sorts of cats their forever home. We always prioritise the physical, emotional and mental well-being of each cat that comes to live with us as often they have had a tough journey before we find them. We work hard to integrate each newcomer in to the family and ensure they have their own space should they want it.

One of our incredible vets has created the Pluto app. This is a free app filled with so much useful and vital information on a huge range of topics relating to your furries health and wellbeing.
Everything from diet, health care, insurance, behaviour to grooming and so much more. All written by our highly qualified vet Olivia.
What's even better is there is a link that enables you to chat to a vet online 24hrs a day should you need immediate help.
This app is free to download and use and Olivia has so kindly said she will donate £1 to Tc's for every download between now and the end of September. I should say its maxed at £500 as its coming from her own pocket 😊
With this app you no longer have to trail the internet for up to date factual information on so many issues relating to your furries general health. It is definitely worth having. Please note, you do not need a referral code once downloaded, just skip that bit 😁

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Do you or someone you know have a few hours to spare each week and come help out here at Tc's. This role involves a lot of cleaning but you get rewarded with lots of loves from all the gang and will learn about disabilities and illness along with much more. Own car is a necessity.

Two very happy doggies on today's walk. I made sure to tell everyone we met that it was Poppy's birthday and she got lots of cuddles and well wishes. Huge love to Auntie Bronagh for the prezzies too. We have spoilt our wee Pops today with all her favourite treats, lots of snuffle mat goodies, a new food bowl, rabbit ears, pizzle sticks and more. I have everything crossed that I have my wee right hand woman for many more years

Our little matriarch is 15 today, I still can't believe she is a little old lady. Poppy was the one who completed our family back in 2015, she was my flower girl at our wedding and is glued to my side every second of the day. She has always seen the family as it is her, me and her dad that care for everyone else. She really is the most adorable and special girl and i cannot imagine life without her. Happy birthday my beautiful Pops. 💜

Our beautiful old lady gave us such a fright this afternoon but thankfully she lives to fight another day. For the past year Lady P has been back and forth to our vet every few months as she keeps losing weight. We've had her bloods done numerous times and she has had scans etc. Everything always comes back good especially for a lady of 18yrs old. So she has had many and varied treatments to help her. However this last week her weight dropped dramatically and then we noticed she seemed to be in pain so off to the vet again. Yet again bloods good, heart good, kidneys and liver all good. So it was decided she would go on the minimum yet still effective dose of gabapentin to help with any pain. I gave her the first dose at 1pm but at 2.30pm she collapsed and I was able to lift her and baby her without a peep out of her. This is so NOT Lady P, normally if you try to baby her she screams the house down calling us all the filthy humans of the day. I go get Mark and we sit with her in the sun, showering her with love, fully expecting her to pass in my arms as I phone our vet. They say to bring her straight in so off we race thinking our beautiful Queen is on her final journey. Thankfully, it turns out she was simply off her nut on the gabapentin 😁. We have learned a valuable lesson today and are so grateful to still have our little old lady with us. We've been doing this 11 years with sick cats but we are very aware that we never stop learning. Huge love and thanks to our vet Kieron who put up with my neurotic behaviour this afternoon, he'll soon realise its par for the course for me 🤣

We've been keeping a secret 😊 please give a warm welcome to the newest member of our family, 3 month old Lil. This little girl was rescued by the wonderful Karen from Claws. She was born to a feral mum and is deaf. She is a confident, carefree baba and is not one bit bothered by any of the gang, you'd swear she'd been here forever. We struggled for a name and of course Mark loves ridiculous names therefore we have compromised. He is allowed to give her her full name as long as I can shorten it. No surprise that her full name given by Mark is Lil Miss Awesome 🤣 hence Lil.
