We understand that starting a new role in care can feel like a big step.

There’s a lot to take in, and it’s important to feel confident and supported from the very beginning.

That’s why we’ve made face-to-face training part of how we welcome new carers. It gives people the chance to learn practical skills in a real setting, ask questions as they go and build confidence with guidance from experienced trainers.

We want every carer to feel prepared and supported, not just during training, but throughout their journey with us.

It’s a touching reflection of the warmth and care they bring into every visit.

Shan and Ellie go above and beyond every day to make people feel safe, supported and truly seen — and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Congratulations to our Registered Manager Patricia Butler and our Compliance Officer Barbara Morley who graduated on Friday, after successfully completing their Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care with Southern Regional College.

The graduation ceremony was held at the Armagh City Hotel and marked a brilliant milestone in their professional journey.

We couldn’t be prouder to see them recognised for all the hard work they’ve put in. It’s a great achievement and a reflection of their continued commitment to learning and leadership in care.

Domiciliary care has long been seen as a female-dominated profession. But times are changing, and more men are stepping into care roles, breaking stereotypes and bringing unique benefits to the people we support.

Like all great carers, they bring empathy, patience and the ability to connect, sometimes through shared interests, life experiences, or simply a good conversation.

And while physical support is sometimes part of the role, the real impact comes from building trust, showing up with compassion, and making people feel safe and valued.

Care isn't defined by who you are, but by how you show up. The growing diversity in domiciliary care is helping to create richer, more responsive support for those who need it most.

Good Care Month is a chance to pause and recognise the people who make care happen day in, day out.

It’s not just about saying thank you. It’s about acknowledging the skill, patience and commitment that goes into supporting others well.

From carers to coordinators to support staff, you’re the ones navigating the tough moments, solving problems on the spot and making sure people feel safe and respected.

You don’t just deliver care. You shape what good care looks like, and we’re proud to work alongside you.

Home is where people feel most like themselves. It’s where routines are familiar, memories are close, and comfort comes naturally.

That’s why so many people want to stay at home as they grow older — in fact, 97% say they’d prefer to receive care at home if they could.

At Kingdom Healthcare, we help make that possible. Every day, we support people to live safely and independently in the place they know best.

Because care should fit around your life, not the other way around.
