🎉 Birthday Celebrations - Only Fools and Horses Style! 🛻🎂

Celebrating the birthdays today has been Great fun! It’s been a busy day full of laughs, great company, and some very special guests… some of our very own Only Fools and Horses cast made an appearance! 😂

The food was just as fantastic as the fun:
🥪 Cheese & ham sandwiches
🥧 Homemade pork and apple sausage rolls
🧀 Homemade cheese scones
🍕 Pizza, salad, pasta
🍗 Breaded chicken
🥚 Quiche

And of course, we finished off with a delicious homemade birthday cake! 🎂

Today, our groups from Acorn Personal Development Centre had a brilliant time at the Driffield Show – exploring animals, agriculture, craft stalls, and enjoying some delicious local food! 🐑🐴🧁

Trips like this are more than just a day out – they help build confidence, encourage social interaction, and offer valuable learning experiences outside of the centre. Most importantly, they’re a chance to make special memories ✨

🌟 Out and About with Acorn!

Today, our groups enjoyed two fantastic experiences out in the community:

🚌 One of our groups took a trip on public transport, enjoyed a picnic lunch, and explored the beautiful Beverley Minster - building confidence and soaking up the history of this incredible landmark.

🤸 Another group attended a session at SEN Gravity - a fun, inclusive trampoline experience designed especially for sensory needs. It was a brilliant way to enjoy movement, freedom, and lots of fun!

These meaningful outings are just one of the ways we support confidence, independence, and wellbeing for everyone in our care.

Today, we served up some creative fun as everyone made their own unique stamp on a Wimbledon-themed poster! 🎨✂️

One of our small groups at Acorn enjoyed a lovely morning out today! The group started with some shopping, followed by a relaxing lunch by the Riverhead Canal. They finished their outing with a peaceful visit to Bell Mills to feed the ducks. A great way to spend time together and enjoy the fresh air! 🦆
