I’m honestly still in shock as I write this…
I’ve been named a FINALIST for Nail Technician of the Year at the Hair & Beauty Awards 2026 😭✨

This journey hasn’t always been easy, and there have been moments of self-doubt, long days, and hard work behind the scenes — so this recognition truly means more than I can put into words. To be acknowledged for something I’m so passionate about is incredibly emotional and humbling.

Today marks my final day at Driffield Love HAIR

Cold weather = Time to level up your aftercare!❄️
�When temperatures drop, your skin and nails lose their natural moisture. This results in them becoming dehydrated, rigid and more prone to breakage. This is also when lifting and other retention issues love to sneak in.

The easiest ways to fight winter dryness?
�✨ Use cuticle oil at least once or twice a day
�Reintroducing moisture keeps your cuticles hydrated, flake-free and your gel enhancements stronger for longer. A tiny step in your routine, which can make a huge difference in your nail health. Especially with Nail Order Cuticle Oil which is packed with nourishing, skin loving ingredients!

When applying cuticle oil, ensure you are applying all around, including underneath the nail.

💅 Keep your hand cream close!

Remember to regularly re-apply moisturiser to your hands throughout the day. This is especially important if you work in a profession that requires consistent hand washing. This will leave you with soft skin and a long lasting manicure!

🧤Wear Gloves

Physically concealing your skin from the elements will reduce risk of dryness and cracking. Especially if you are guilty of not using your cuticle oil - wear your gloves!

🎁Use Nail Saving Tools

Make sure to use a keysie nail saver for those pesky gift labels, or when opening your Christmas deliveries! Your nails aren’t indestructible, and extra care should be taken

📔 Book In Plenty Time

This is the busiest time for Nail Techs - don’t leave it too late to book in for your maintenance appointments!😟 We would even recommend booking in more regularly throughout winter to maintain your manicures!

💦Drink plenty of water 💦

Keeping yourself naturally hydrated will promote supple skin!
