🏃‍♂️ Feeling Fit and Fabulous at Woodland View Care Home! 🎈

Who says exercise can’t be the highlight of the day? Our residents absolutely smashed their fitness class this afternoon, and the energy in the room was electric! ⚡️

There was plenty of puffing, but even more laughing—proving that staying active is much easier when you’re doing it with friends.

It wasn't just about the workout; it was about the team spirit and the massive smiles on everyone's faces. We definitely earned our afternoon cuppa today! ☕️🍰

🎂 Happy Birthday to a Very Special Lady! 🌸

Today is all about celebrating one of our wonderful residents, the lovely PT, as she marks her birthday! 🥳✨

PT brings so much warmth and joy to our home every single day. Whether she’s sharing a story, joined in on an activity, or simply brightening the room with her smile, we are so lucky to have her as part of the Woodland View Care Home family.

🚶‍♀️ Rain or Shine, We’re on the Move! 🌧️☀️

Yesterday’s Walk & Talk activity proved one thing for certain: our residents are unstoppable! We headed out for some fresh air and a good old-fashioned catch-up, and not even the rain could put a dampener on the mood.

There is something so special about a stroll through the neighborhood. Whether we were discussing local history or just enjoying the change of scenery, the conversation flowed as fast as our pace! It was the perfect reminder that a little bit of movement (and a lot of great company) is the best way to brighten any day.

A huge well done to our "all-weather" walkers for keeping those spirits high and those smiles wide! 👣✨

🎨 Something "Egg-stra" Special at Art Club today! 🥚

We had an absolutely eggciting afternoon today as our residents gathered for Art Club! With Easter just around the corner, it was the perfect time to get a little messy and a lot creative.

From vibrant patterns to classic pastels, our residents have been busy transforming ordinary eggs into miniature masterpieces. There was plenty of laughter, focused concentration, and—of course—just a little bit of glitz.

It’s wonderful to see everyone’s unique personalities shine through in their designs. Our new poster in the foyer is looking brighter than a spring morning! 🌸

🌈 Finding Gold at Woodland View Care Home! 🍀

We had a "sham-rocking" good time this morning getting ready for St. Patrick’s Day! Our residents tapped into their creative sides to craft their very own Pots of Gold, and the results are absolutely glittering.

From painting the pots to filling them with "treasure," there were smiles all around the room. It’s safe to say everyone loved every second of it—there might even be a little extra luck floating around our hallways today! ✨

🥂 65 Years of Love: A Sapphire Celebration! 💎

Yesterday was an incredibly special day here at Woodland View Care Home as we raised a glass to two very special people. Please join us in wishing a massive Happy 65th Wedding Anniversary to our wonderful residents, Pat and Husband! 🥳✨

Reaching a Sapphire Anniversary is a rare and beautiful milestone. When we asked them what the secret to sixty-five years of marriage was, they said: 'lots of laughter and patience'

It’s an honor to have such a beautiful example of lifelong devotion in our home. Their smiles truly lit up the room during their celebration meal yesterday!

Happy Anniversary to the wonderful couple.

What better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than with a wonderful afternoon tea! ☕🌸

Our lovely ladies enjoyed an afternoon filled with hot drinks, plenty of scones and cake, and of course lots of laughter. Everyone gathered together for a good knatter and a chance to celebrate friendship and community.

What a wonderful service we had last week with Reverend Turner 🙏✨

It was amazing to see such a fantastic turnout, and our residents truly loved every moment. Gatherings like these bring so much joy, comfort, and community spirit to everyone involved.

With Easter traditions just around the corner, it made the service feel even more special and meaningful. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🌷⛪🐣

A busy boardgame morning this Saturday! 🎲♟️
There was plenty of friendly competition around the tables as our residents put their skills to the test. Laughter, great company, and a hot drink in hand made it the perfect way to start the weekend. ☕
Well done to everyone who joined in – we’re already looking forward to the next game! 😊

Thursday’s Art Club was full of creativity and smiles! 🎨😊
This week’s theme was Penny Art. Using simple pennies, everyone followed them with pencils to create all kinds of shapes and patterns, then brought their designs to life by adding colour.
Such a simple idea that led to some fantastic and colourful creations — and plenty of smiles all round!

Yesterday’s Poetry Corner was simply wonderful! 📚✨
We had an amazing turnout in the library, with everyone sharing a few of their favourite poems and reminiscing over some familiar classics we all knew and loved. It was a lovely morning filled with words, memories, and plenty of smiles. One of our residents favourites sessions🤎
