We know that there will be a lot of people worried about the news regarding the Meningitis outbreak in Kent. This particular meningitis strain is MenB. Since 2015, this vaccine has been offered to all children up to age 2. It is NOT available on the NHS after this age.

However, there are other strains of Meningitis and most young people will have received the MenACWY vaccine at school. It is also available to anyone that missed the MenACWY vaccination and is aged under 25 years old.

Please contact us if you are aged between 14 years and 25 years old AND have not received the MenACWY vaccination. If this applies to you, you can book an appointment with our nurse.

We are now half way through our renovation project. One of our new reception desks is being used, with the second expected to be completed next week. We are also in the process of closing up our old front desk, so when you arrive in the surgery please go into the "new" waiting room to book in.

Our reception renovation is well underway and moving along fast! Please bear with us whilst this work is ongoing.

To all of our Patients,
Our reception renovations are due to start on Monday 12th January. We have been busy doing lots of preparation behind the scenes to make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible for the next few weeks.

Our plans include creating a new consultation room, as well as updating the reception area. When the work is complete, there will be new "front desks" located within the waiting areas. The main one will be in the "New" waiting room ( soon to be renamed to waiting room 2), and another in the old waiting room (soon to be renamed waiting room 1), which will be used when staffing levels allow. So instead of queuing in a cold foyer, you will be able to queue in the warm waiting room instead. If you need to speak to one of our Care Navigators in private, this will still be available as usual.

We will be open as usual, and we will do our best to ensure there is as little disruption as possible, however we ask that you bear with us whilst this essential work takes place.

Thank you for your patience and we will post regular updates as the work progresses.

📢 Notice to Patients of Corbett Medical Practice.

We would like to inform you that works to renovate our reception area will commence on 12th January, with the aim of enhancing the patient experience. The works are expected to last approximately 4 weeks.
You may notice some changes from 5th January, as preparatory work begins. The surgery will remain open and appointments will continue as normal.

Just a quick reminder :

Today, 29 10 25, from approximately midday to 3.00pm, our computer system is being upgraded, specifically our internet / network system. This will unfortunately cause unavoidable disturbances to our normal services – including our access to computer records and appointment booking system.
• If you have an appointment booked for Wednesday 29th October, either in the practice or on the ‘phone, this will still take place as planned.
• Our ‘phones will still be working but we will be unable to book routine appointments during this time-frame.
• We will have the facility to book urgent appointments during the upgrade.
