COVID CLINIC
underway at the Practice - please remember to come along for your booked appointment

Due to unforeseen circumstances, (the warm weather!), the material used to resurface the car park won’t have set by tomorrow’s COVID Clinic. The clinic will go ahead but there won’t be any parking on site. We ask that those who can, to walk to the practice and those who are more able but need to drive, park further along the road so leaving the road spaces near the practice, for those less able. Our sincere apologies for this.

It’s not often the lovely sunshine gets the blame for anything but, in this instance, it is the reason!

Reminder that today we are having our car park resurfaced, so there is no parking at the surgery currently. We are still open as usual. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this will cause, but we want to put yours and our staffs safety first. Thank you for your patience during this time.

Dear Patients - It has been brought to our attention that patients of a practice are being called by an anonymous caller saying that the patient needs to update their contact details. Patients are being told that if they don't update them, they will be struck off the GP list. The calls have been from mobile number 07785061402.

Please be assured that these calls are not from Corbett Medical Practice.

Retirement

It is with much sadness that we announce the retirement of
Dr Pickworth on 31st December 2024.

Dr Pickworth has been an integral part of the team for the past 27 years, having joined Corbett Medical Practice as locum cover in January 1998 and then as a Partner in August 1998.

He has now decided to retire his stethoscope and put his feet up for a well-earned rest.

We wish Dr Pickworth a long, fulfilled and happy retirement. You will be greatly missed by your colleagues and patients alike.

It has come to our attention that some people are receiving phone calls from people who say that they are from your Doctors Surgery and want to make you an appointment for a health check. If you tell them that you will phone them back they then hang up. They do not say which surgery they are from or their name. When you arrive for your appointment, there isn’t one booked, and the receptionists are not aware of you being contacted.

The Corbett Medical Practice, Spa Medical Practice and Salters Medical Practice, will ALWAYS tell you the surgery they are calling from and tell you their name too.

We do not know what the callers hope to gain from doing this, but please be careful what information you are giving to anybody who won’t confirm where they are calling from or who doesn’t give you their name.
