🌟 You asked – we did it! 🌟

What a fab shopping trip we had to M&S Malvern this afternoon 🛍️
The countryside drive was gorgeous and sparked so many memories along the way.
Our lovely residents had a great time browsing, picking out little treats for themselves, and of course we couldn’t resist stopping for a hot drink and a good natter before heading home for supper. ☕💬

🦉 National Wildlife Day 🦁
We were delighted to welcome wildlife photographer Adam Jukes last night for an inspiring talk on his photography and experiences across Europe and Africa. From striking images of owls and birds to breathtaking encounters with African wildlife, Adam’s stories truly captivated our residents. With lots of Gasps of astonishment plenty of ooohs and ahhhs! The evening ended with heartfelt applause – one resident even raising their hands high in appreciation. A memorable night for all! 🦉🦒📸 👏

💙A Priceless Moment for Trevor at Droitwich Mews💙

At Droitwich Mews, we treasure the little moments that make a big difference and recently, resident Trevor Smith experienced one of those truly special occasions.

With the help and encouragement of our dedicated team, Trevor was supported onto a staff member’s motorbike. For Trevor, who has always been a keen biker, sitting back on two wheels once again was an unforgettable experience.

The moment sparked a wave of memories. Trevor, who lives with dementia, instantly knew where everything was on the bike and began sharing wonderful stories of his biking days. For those five minutes, it was as though he was transported back in time confidently recalling details and communicating his experiences with such joy.

It was a powerful reminder of how meaningful activities can unlock precious memories and create moments of real connection. For Trevor and all of us here, it was a priceless experience filled with nostalgia, happiness, and pride.

🏖️ Beach Day at Droitwich Mews 🐚

This month, our care home was transformed into a seaside escape as we celebrated Beach Day! Residents enjoyed getting creative with beach-themed artwork for our display board, feeling the textures of sand and shells, and even building little sandcastles.
One of the highlights was listening to the gentle "sea sounds" in the shells—bringing back fond memories of holidays by the shore. It was a sensory-filled afternoon full of fun, laughter, and heartfelt reminiscing. 💙

🌈✨ Wizard of Oz Day at Droitwich Mews 👠🪄

There’s no place like home… but it felt like we’d stepped straight into Oz! 💛
Our staff were almost unrecognisable,Dorothy with her very own Toto 🐶 under her arm,a Tin Man who definitely needed oiling, a Scarecrow that was “out standing in her field,” and a very brave Cowardly Lion(nearly) Our resident had some giggles and admired tin man’s squeaky walk 🐶 🦁🌽⚙️
