A huge well done to Team AKW who took part in the Cancer Research UK Pretty Muddy 5K Race for Life at Worcester Racecourse on Saturday!

9 brave volunteers battled through muddy obstacles to complete the course for a fourth year running, raising a total of £1,700 (inc. Gift Aid)!

In May, four AKW colleagues volunteered at Spirit of the Herd pony sanctuary Helsby, a not-for-profit rescue and rehabilitation home in Cheshire, for horses and ponies with past issues relating to neglect, physical and mental abuse.

The team spent a day helping to keep the ponies and horses fed, watered and in good health, by mucking out the stables and fields, filling sacks with manure for the charity to sell, feeding and grooming the Shetland ponies.

This weekend we returned to Warrington Disability Partnership Disability Awareness Day 2025, their annual disability-friendly family fun day, held at Walton Hall & Gardens in Warrington.

We had a great time exhibiting with 200 people playing our hook-a-duck game!

In aid of Disability Pride Month 2025, AKW are proud to be supporting Felixstowe Disability Pride 2025 in Suffolk on Friday 11th July!

Join us as we celebrate individuals, not limitations, with a procession led by a samba band and stroke survivors along the promenade, followed by performances, stalls and an exhibition showcasing local services and disability providers, including AKW!
