These kids are just flying out our door!
Improving in areas such as SPEECH for example, can help a child become less anxious socially, feel more understood and thrive in social situations. It aids social and emotional growth and provides future opportunities.
When CONCENTRATION improves, that can help as child's memory, cognitive function and productivity and task completion leading to better academic performance and decision making. It helps support character development, social behaviour and overall success.

Endings can be difficult, and for some clients ending Play Therapy is the same. Saying goodbye to that person you connected with, goodbye to the important processing done in sessions, goodbye to that special safe space clients can be their true selves however that presents itself. Endings can also be powerful, an opportunity to see progress made, be thankful as well as hopeful for the future, whatever life has to offer. As Play Therapists, we support our clients through both the negatives and positives of endings

Sometimes they did, but more often than not these children continued to struggle or regressed even further - emotionally, socially, academically, behaviourally etc
