Making wonderful memories and smiles at Valley Lodge Care Home in Matlock .

Such a lovely review for us from yesterdays visit 🥰

We had these beautiful ponies and ladies to our care home yesterday it was an absolutely wonderful experience the ladies truly are not in this for the money they obviously have a magical relationship with the ponies. The impact they had on the residents was unbelievable. They spent time with our residential dementia and nursing residents and visited a lady on end of life. They never once looked at the clock and the ladies had great empathy with all the residents and family so for any activity coordinators out there these a one to definitely book.

Visiting the Archer project is always one of our favourites outing as we never know who we will see .

When we arrived at the cathedral the astonishing looks of passers by thinking it’s strange to see ponies in the middle of town .
Most stop and ask for a photo 👀

This visit was sponsored by the students at Equican at Derby College where the smile team went to do a talk about equine assisted therapy in February.

A lovely afternoon out with the boys visiting the residents at fisher close care home .
There was some great interaction with the ponies that I didn’t get chance to capture but the staff were blown away with how good the boys were and what the boys did to get a response .
So cute 🥰

I didn’t take many pictures as I was to busy chatting with everyone and I was a little worried about the fact I’d forgotten to pack the boy nappy’s in case the have an accident 🙈,
Safe to say they were so good and looked after me and never needed the toilet 🙏😅
