Only one more day of my Paediatric Acupuncture diploma to do and then I am fully qualified to treat children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers for all types of ailments. These include anxiety, bedwetting, colic, eczema, poor sleep....the list is endless! I’m thrilled to announce that I will be able to continue to work throughout lockdown. Such a relief! The British Acupuncture Council have just informed us, after much deliberation, that we as acupuncturist are deemed under the umbrella of ‘medical care’ so we are allowed to treat patients with conditions such as chronic of pain, mental health and fertility.

Whilst I’m still waiting to hear if I can continue to work from Thursday due to the new lockdown restrictions, business ...

Whilst I’m still waiting to hear if I can continue to work from Thursday due to the new lockdown restrictions, business is as usual....for the time being.
A new common complaint from patients is painful backs, necks and shoulders due to working at home and not having a good ergonomic office chair or desk to sit at. In this picture I am treating a patients with electro-stimulation on the needles and heat to help combat these postural pains and help make working from home a little more comfortable.

Did you know there are over 360 acupuncture points on the body that we as acupuncturists have to know their exact location in relation to each patients’ personal anatomical structures. We then have to choose which points are most appropriate to treat each patient individually. Clever huh?!
