A shift in perspective can change everything.

Sometimes we spend so long looking at ourselves through one lens that we stop seeing the full picture.

We focus on the gaps.
The things we haven’t done.
The areas where we don’t feel “ready enough.”
The reasons we might not be enough.

And then something shifts.

Not because we suddenly became more capable overnight…
but because we finally started recognising the value in the experience, skills and strengths we already had.

So many professional women do this.
We downplay ourselves.
We dismiss things that come naturally to us.
We overlook the resilience, adaptability and knowledge we’ve built over years because it just feels “normal” to us.

But sometimes the biggest breakthrough isn’t becoming someone new.

It’s seeing yourself more clearly.

If you’ve been questioning yourself lately, this is your reminder:
You may be far more capable than you’ve been giving yourself credit for.

Curiosity killed the cat 🐈‍⬛ - What a load of rubbish.

For most of my life, curiosity has been one of my biggest strengths… even if at times it didn’t always feel that way.

I’ve never been afraid to ask questions.

Even the ones that feel a bit “stupid”.
Even the ones where you worry what people might think.

Because deep down, I’d rather understand something properly than sit there pretending I already know.

And if I’m honest, I think that’s something a lot of women struggle with.

Holding back.
Not speaking up.
Second guessing themselves.

I think I know where my curiosity comes from.

My dad, who passed away in 2011, was the most curious person I’ve ever known.

If there was a button, he would press it. Not once… but repeatedly… until he understood exactly what it did.

Which led to some funny moments.

Like accidentally calling nurses in hospital because he just wanted to see what would happen.

Or beds mysteriously moving up and down while he was “testing” the controls when visiting friends.

At the time, it was chaotic and hilarious.

Now I see it differently.

That curiosity… that willingness to not know… to ask… to explore…

That’s where confidence actually grows.

Not from having all the answers.

But from being willing to ask the questions.

So if you’ve ever held back because you were worried about sounding silly…

This is your reminder.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need to be curious enough to take the next step.

And maybe ask the question anyway.

I used to be so shy I’d rehearse what I wanted to say… and still not say it.

Just more confident, more trusting of myself… and no longer letting anxiety make my decisions.

Do you ever finish a project, get great feedback, and think, "I just got lucky this time"?

A brand new 2025 study from University College London (UCL) found that people with anxiety don’t actually perform worse than anyone else—they just perceive their success differently.

Researchers found that anxious brains tend to "filter out" successes while obsessing over moments of low confidence. It’s like having a broken "Confidence Bank Account" where you only record the withdrawals, never the deposits.

The Truth: You aren’t "bad" at what you do. Your brain is just an unreliable narrator.

Try this today: Instead of waiting to "feel" confident, keep a "Proof List." Write down three things you did well today—even if they felt easy. Force your brain to see the evidence it’s trying to ignore. 🧠✨

Who am I? Jennifer Goldie — and I’m someone who knows what it’s like to look confident on the outside but feel like a fraud on the inside.

Second guessing myself.
Wondering if I was “good enough”.
Feeling like I was winging it half the time.

I help women stop overthinking, feel more confident and quiet that constant “imposter” voice — using a mix of hypnotherapy, coaching and mindset work.

But it’s not about becoming a completely different person.

It’s about feeling more like yourself again… just without the noise.
