The spirituality of cats. Anyone who has ever owned a cat will, at the very least, have a hunch that these graceful creatures are far more than just furry playful warm-blooded mammals. Cats have the ability to heal both mentally and physically. Cats tread non-physical plains invisible to us, they hear many frequencies that we do not hear, they see things that we do not, detecting wavelengths of light we cannot, enabling them to see spirits, energies, elementals and things beyond our comprehension and imagination, they are the only beings that can enter or leave a magic circle without disrupting its energy field. Cats know when their custodians are unwell. Certainly, from my experience of all the cats that I have looked after, fed, given home to, every single one has detected when I am either sick or feeling rundown or depressed. And every single one has always come directly to me, lay down with me and then, yes, then, the purring begins. That purr that resounds at 20-140 hertz, known medically to be therapeutic frequency for many illnesses. Cats see and know things which many of us cannot perceive, even those of us with the gift.
Years ago one of my cats had the disturbing habit of walking into the bedroom in the middle of the night and staring intently into the alcove in the corner of the room. Gradually his tail would become thick, his ears would come back, and his fur would stand on end, all of this in total silence. Sometimes, this would last for 5 minutes sometimes up to an hour, but this strange behaviour always culminated with him slowly watching something invisible to me as it slowly traversed the room and apparently went out of the bedroom window. After this he would jump up on the windowsill, stare statue like outside for a short time and then jump on the bed next to me and gently go to sleep.
At first, I considered this to be extremely disturbing, then, a couple of years after this behaviour had stopped, I was speaking with I psychic in America who told me that my bedroom had been occupied by a cold spirit who moved in there after a barn in which it lived had been pulled down, but the spirit had now been purged from my space. It would not trouble my household thereafter. This immediately struck a chord with the cat’s behaviour. Over the years I have come to understand cats and I realise that this is what they do. They are our spiritual guardians, protecting us and cleansing us from things of a different realm that we would probably not care to see.
Honour your cat if you have one, consider giving one a home if you don't. You will never really appreciate exactly, the things that they quietly and unseeingly do for you.
