Children under 6 will now be offered protection from chicken pox - no more 2-week absences from school and parent absences from work. Phew.

Children under 6 are now being offered the MMRV vaccine as part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme.

This replaces the existing MMR vaccine and adds protection against chickenpox, alongside measles, mumps and rubella.

You don’t need to do anything - your GP will contact you when your child is due.

⚠️Please read and share this post about about unsafe baby pillows from Child Accident Prevention Trust. For information on safer sleep see the link in the comments 👇

WARNING: Baby sleep pillows can be deadly

These soft pillows and cushions are often marketed for baby sleep or as somewhere for a baby to be left unsupervised. But this can cause suffocation or overheating, and your baby might even die.

Despite what some online product listings suggest, pillows are not recommended for babies until they are at least 12 months old. The safest place for your baby to sleep is on a clear, firm, flat surface.
