Pharmacies are here to help you during the Easter bank holiday weekend. See below the opening hours for your local pharmacy on Easter Monday.

Easter bank holiday 🐣

We will be closed over the Easter break this will include Friday 18th April and Monday 21st April.

During this period if you require urgent medical attention please call 999.

Local pharmacies will be open for help with minor health problems such as sore throats, coughs and colds, headaches, Diarrhoea, constipation, hay fever, insect bites and stings.

Urgent care will be open as normal.

Women between 50-71 are invited for a mammogram every three years.

Steppingstones Medical Practice patients should soon start to receive invites through the post. Women who did not attend back in 2022 are prioritised and those between 50-53 will receive their first invite.

We have a six month recall period from April-October to encourage as many women to attend as possible.

Remember to accept your invite and book your cervical screening test as it could be life-saving. The screening test can determine whether you have human papillomavirus (HPV) and changes in your cells that could go on to develop into cancer if left untreated. If you are aged between 25 and 64 it's important to book and attend your screening test and keep an eye out for any signs or symptoms. If you feel at any time something isn't right, don’t wait, contact your GP.

We would like to remind our patients about the ways you can contact the surgery:

•contact us by telephone
•face to face at reception
•contact us through our practice website

There are many different appointment times available for our patients too, early mornings with a Doctor between 7am-8am
Late evening appointments with a Doctor or nurse between 6.30pm-8pm

We also offer Saturday mornings with our Physion Sarvesh, these will need a referral from the Doctor first.

We are delighted to invite you to come and join us for our first menopause cafe event. An afternoon of relaxed chat, support and discussion around peri-menopause and menopause over a cup of coffee.

The event will include conversations around how it can affect women and what help and support is available both for self-care and HRT and other medical treatments. The session will be led by Dr Victoria Hobbs and will be relaxed, friendly and sensitive.

The café is aimed at supporting local patients and communities and there will be a warm welcome for everyone.
