5 Events which will challenge both your strength & conditioning.

Event 2 - Overhead Press Medley (90 secs)
Event 3 - Prowler Pull / Push (60 secs)
Event 4 - Medicine Ball Throw (60 secs)
Event 5 - Assault Bike / Ski Erg (kcals)

Attention all females especially of a certain age 😬

Personal Training available (45 or 60 minute sessions) structured specially to help deal with the different side effects of the MENOPAUSE.

For menopausal women, strength training with heavy weights and low repetitions (3-5 sets of 6-8 reps) is a great way to build muscle, improve bone density, and combat muscle loss.

Focus on High-Load, Low-Repetition Training: Aim for 2-3 sets of 6-8 repetitions with heavier weights. If you can lift a weight for more than 10 repetitions, it’s likely not heavy enough to build muscle and bone density effectively. Increase the weight to ensure you are sufficiently loading your muscles.

Putting stress on bones during perimenopause and after menopause can increase bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. “Weight-resistance exercises are really key for bone health,

By increasing lean muscle mass (which boosts metabolism), strength training helps keep women’s estrogen levels in check.

Regular weight lifting can help combat age-related skeletal muscle loss, improve bone density, and enhance overall quality of life for individuals over 50.

Not only do we lose muscle faster post-menopause, but we also tend to gain more fat. The only way to slow the process and maintain — and even gain — muscle after menopause is to strength train. Lifting weights builds muscle, increases strength and even helps with balance and agility.

Strength training helps women in menopause - study

A study shows the menopause does not affect a woman’s ability to build muscle while exercising, say researchers. The research by the University of Exeter also found resistance training could alleviate some of the physical issues which arise due to menopause.

Strength training, especially resistance training, proves to be a powerful tool in activating muscle-building stem cells and maintaining lean body mass. This type of exercise also addresses various other challenges associated with menopause.
