Hello my name is Richard Birkett, I am a local Personal Trainer who has achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training. This achievement has given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of ages, abilities and fitness levels all achieving fantastic results. Helping others is my biggest passion and seeing the effectiveness of my safe, fun and friendly approach to Health, Fitness and Well-being has kept me going strong. Last deadlift session before the Birmingham Single Deadlift Competition @ the Arnold Sports Festival.

Needed to bag my opening lift of 240kg to get my confidence back after a few set backs over the last few weeks.

Managed it ok so thought stuff it we will give my second lift of 255kg ago and up it went, so I now feel a lot better now going into the competition 🤞

Well done to for also completing her opening lift and potentially second lift 👏

And to for a new PB ⭐️ of 205kg in the Hex Bar.

Can’t forget about head helper 🧑‍🍼 🤣

So after a lovely injury to my strong arm 💪🤣 I’ve had to change to grip around.

Felt very alien but managed a top set of 240kg.

220kg flew up so pleased with that.

One deadlift session let until the Arnold Sports Festival Deadlift only competition in NEC Birmingham 🤞

Working on ironing out her technique and working around aches and pains and old injuries we have gradually built a solid and strong foundation 🏠 💪 to build on top off.

I always implement SHORT TERM and LONG TERM GOALS and plan our sessions around this selecting specific exercises, sets and reps to get us to our GOAL.

Learn from someone who now’s more than you and has put it in to practice for many years.

You can’t teach intensity and hard work you have to physically do to get results.

Trying to get my confidence back after last weeks disaster Deadlifts 😫

We built up 10kgs at a time from 170kg to 240kg for single reps focusing on technique and nailing the rep.

Feeling mentally better after this session and had more energy as I have upped my food intake thanks to 😋 🥔

Great effort to the rest of the crew with their deadlifts

Pleased with my Deadlifts for 14 reps at 190kg in 60secs

Nearly managed 2 rounds in 60secs of 70kg Axel press, 85kg Log press and 41kg Circus dumbbell

Loved the sandbag toss again and even managed 1 at 20kg which I didn’t get last time.

Wish I could say it was easy but I’d by lying 🤥 🤣

But best start getting used to having a barbell on my back.
