We’re delighted to share that work is now underway on the Great North Crematorium and Memorial Gardens.
Opening in winter 2026, our new crematorium near Cramlington is being thoughtfully designed to give families more choice, time, and opportunity to create a truly personal farewell for their loved ones.
Using state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, services can be personalised with immersive visuals, sound, and lighting that reflect the life being honoured, whether that’s a peaceful natural scene, a meaningful place, or something entirely unique. Alongside this, our flexible chapel layout, one-hour services, and beautifully landscaped memorial gardens will ensure every farewell feels unhurried and deeply personal.
We’re also proud that sustainability is at the heart of our plans, with the site set to become one of the most environmentally friendly crematoria in the UK, while offering a tranquil and welcoming space for families across Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside.
