Great North Crematorium near Newcastle provides a peaceful and beautiful setting for families.

Work continues to progress well at our new site in Cramlington, Great North Crematorium, with strong developments now reached at the end of week 24.

Brickwork and blockwork are advancing steadily with the second lift now underway, while scaffolding has been lifted to allow roofing works to begin. External works are also moving forward at a good pace, helping to shape the overall look and feel of the site.

Across the grounds, bunds have been dressed in preparation for the Spring seeding plan, with topsoil now spread to support this next stage. Progress is also being made within the Memorial Garden, where border and stonework to the paths are taking shape.

Works to the lower level roof have now started, marking another key milestone in the build.

It is great to see continued progress across all areas of the site and I look forward to sharing further updates as the project develops.

Work continues to progress at our new site in Newcastle, with strong momentum maintained through week 23.

Brickwork and blockwork are advancing well, now reaching the second lift, while scaffolding is nearing completion to support upcoming parapet and roofing works. External works are also progressing steadily, with additional road kerbing installed across the site.

Groundworks are moving forward, with muck shifting underway in preparation for the spring seeding plan. Topsoil is now being spread in readiness for seeding, and work has begun on the borders and stone pathways within the Memorial Garden. In the coming days, works to the lower-level roof are also set to begin.

It’s great to see the site taking shape as we move closer to the next phase of construction.

We’re pleased to share continued progress at Great North Crematorium & Memorial Gardens.

At the end of week 16, the car park is progressing well, wind posts have been installed, and the first stage of gas membrane works has been carried out to the metal deck area.

We’re pleased to share continued progress across our newest development.

In Newcastle (end of week 14), strong progress continues as the project moves into its next phase. Substructure brickwork is now fully complete, herbicide spray to formation has been carried out, and block and beam works are well underway with completion targeted early next week. The first stage of gas membrane works is scheduled to begin shortly, while car park works, including block paving, continue to advance well.

It’s encouraging to see developments progressing on the programme, thanks to the continued collaboration and commitment from our contractor partner T Manners & Sons Ltd.

We look forward to sharing further updates as the site continues to evolve.

Work continues on our new site, with good progress being made as we reach the end of week 12.

Substructure brickwork and blockwork have continued this week, alongside the installation of telescopic vents. Further progress has been made on the car park, roads and drainage, with perimeter drainage now underway. Steel columns and wind posts have also been successfully installed.

Substructure works have experienced a slight delay due to wet weather, however the metal deck is due to be delivered mid-week, allowing works to continue moving forward.
