🔬 Changes to Smear Test Results 🔬
Normal cervical screening (smear test) results are sent digitally through the NHS App.
✅ Normal results mean no further tests are needed, and you’ll simply return to your routine screening recall.
📲 If you have notifications turned on for the NHS App, you’ll get a message there.
💬 If notifications are off, you may also receive an SMS reminding you to check the NHS App.
📩 If the message isn’t read within 72 hours or if you don’t use the NHS App, you’ll still get a letter in the post.
⚠️ Abnormal results (where referral to the hospital for further investigation is needed) will continue to be sent by post.
Please note:
Sometimes results (normal or abnormal) may appear on the NHS App under GP Health Records, or you may see a hospital (colposcopy) appointment before your letter arrives. Don’t worry if this happens — it’s simply because the NHS App is linked directly to your GP records.

🌡️ Flu Vaccines for School-Aged Children

If you have a school-aged child who still needs their flu vaccine, there are clinics running across Derbyshire.

For children who are classed as 'at risk', you will have received an invitation from the practice — and we still have vaccines available.

We are incredibly proud of our Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Nurse Amy Armiger, who travelled to London on Friday to receive the Queen’s Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to primary care.

Amy has been instrumental in developing local menopause clinics and creating the Women’s Health Champion Programme, empowering women in our communities to better understand and manage their health. She has also been recognised for improving access to menopause care for women with learning disabilities and championing inclusive, patient-centred services.

This award is a celebration of Amy’s dedication, innovation, and her unwavering commitment to improving women’s health and wellbeing. Congratulations, Amy — an inspiration to us all! 🌟
