Part of the NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board. We welcome anybody with lived experience to be an Expert by Experience. We are here to ensure patients, service receivers and carers are involved in how health and social care services are run. Meet John, an Expert by Experience and co-founder of Chatterbox Cafe mental health drop-in.

Chatterbox Cafe is facilitated by John and peers who understand wellbeing through their own lived experiences.
Anyone is welcome.
It is friendly safe space open every Friday 10am-12pm in the Derbion Community Hub, (a small setting located on an entrance/exit at Derby Shopping Centre). ☺️

Are you in a public-facing role? Do you want to build your confidence in recognising and supporting mental health challenges? Our half-day Mental Health Awareness Training is designed to equip staff and volunteers with essential skills to:

✅ Understand mental health and tackle stigma
✅ Gain insight into available resources and support services
✅ Feel more confident in supporting those who may be struggling

This interactive course is available both online and in-person—so you can choose what works best for you!

Wednesday, 26th March 2025, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Elephant Rooms, Draycott.

This course is designed to help you manage stress, improve sleep, and build mental health resilience.

✨ FREE Self-Care Course: Finding Calm ✨

We’re delighted to offer Finding Calm, a fully funded 10-week wellness and sleep course starting Wednesday, 26th March 2025, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Elephant Rooms!

This course is designed to help you manage stress, improve sleep, and build mental health resilience.

🌀 Part 1 (6 weeks): Learn powerful Capacitar techniques to manage stress, anxiety, PTSD, and depression.
🌙 Part 2 (4 weeks): Improve sleep with awareness, breathwork, mindfulness, and sleep hygiene.

Led by an experienced psychotherapist, holistic therapist, and trained Capacitar tutor, with contributions from experts in yoga, meditation, and breathwork. Plus, additional support is available from Elephant Rooms’ counselling services.

Thanks to NHS funding & , this course is completely free! You can book the full 10 weeks or just the part that suits your needs.

💙 If you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling with mental health, or battling poor sleep, Finding Calm could be the support you need.

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust runs eating disorder services in Derby and Derbyshire and is encouraging people to talk with their loved ones if they have concerns about their relationship with food, and to urge them to talk to a health professional.

Anyone can be affected by an eating disorder, regardless of gender, age, or background. Yet, many people still face barriers in seeking help, often dealing with disbelief when they do. 💚
