I’m sure that everyone knows that I have been ‘winding down’ for several years! The end of September/beginning of October has been the target for some time, and this is just to clarify that Saturday 4 October will be the last day of trading in the shops. We still have a few impressive bowls that were used in our relaxation experiences.The last few are selling fairly quickly and we will not be having a ‘closing down sale’.

Many of our lovely antique singing bowls have found new custodians over the last few weeks, but there are impressive bowls still waiting to find new owners. Mani bowls are often overlooked, perhaps because they very heavy, thick-walled bowls, but they sing well and have real character. Mani bowls were originally used as begging bowls since coins thrown in would not bounce out again!

We are looking for a new custodian for one set of seven chakra palmstones. The illustrated set has just been reserved but we have a similar set made up of appropriate crystal palmstones. These stones are approximately 2.5 inches diameter.

Selected circular crystal palm stones (normally £40 each) are reduced to £30 each until the end of August.

Trapezoid singing bowls are very different from the ta***ic trapezoid bowl illustrated in the last post. Trapezoid bowls are generally large, heavy, thick-walled bowls. They are relatively scarce and, given because they are not item seen, probably under-valued by sound therapists.

This ta***ic (out-facing flat lip) trapezoid bowl produces an interesting, ‘different’ sound when chimed.

I’m not a fan of decorated singing bowls but I do have a soft spot for the ‘ritual gashes’, incised lines (round the outside, on the inside or particularly on top of the rim), sun motifs (aka dot in circle marks) or dotted inscriptions or pictures found on many antique bowls. Many of our much-loved ‘museum/study’ singing bowls will soon be looking for new custodians.

We have very few of the popular jambati singing bowls left, but we still have a fairly good selection of antique bowls for sale, including several that have previously been marked ‘not for sale’. We are now, sadly, in the final few weeks of ‘winding down’ and almost all of our treasured therapy bowls will be looking for new custodians at the end of September.
