We enjoyed a trip to the Coronation Street Exhibition this week at Salford Quays.

Bernice, Doreen and Joyce enjoyed looking round the museum, having a tour of Roy's Rolls and watching a short film of Coronation Streets best bits.

The three fans of Coronation Street reminisced about favourite bits over the years while enjoying a picnic in the cafe.

Mary and Mavis recently enjoyed a trip to Portland Basin to visit the museum to look at the 80th VE day displays.

Both ladies enjoyed talking to school children during their visit about what it was like living during the war.

We also looked at the history of our local area, reminiscing on the old cigarette factory where Mavis worked.

Mary had memories of Christy Mill where they made towels and bedding.

Our gents enjoyed a lively game of dominoes,
some of our lovely ladies got creative with colourful, summer-themed pictures ☀️,
and others relaxed with crossword puzzles and caught up on the latest news.

We enjoyed seeing the ducks, birds and squirrels. The ladies enjoyed watching a heron look for food.

VE day celebrations today at The Beeches. We had a lovely day with lots of memories shared.

Mary our oldest resident shared her memories of being 22 years old and ringing the bells at her local church to signal the end of the war.

We enjoyed the service on the television, VE day lunch and a singalong!
