We were told not to do any of this

So we did it anyway 🦈

Turns out people stick to something a lot longer when they actually enjoy it ❤️

Most gyms feel intimidating

This one doesn’t

We focus on making people feel comfortable enough to come back

Because when people keep showing up, that’s when the magic happens ❤️

Every person who you see 'smashing it' in the gym was once a person who sat outside questioning whether or not they should walk in

You don't need anything dramatic to change your life

You just need one brave decision to surround yourself with people who will lift you up ❤️

Mental Health but make it Chest Day ❤️

3 Years at Platform - stronger, healthier, more confident and now helping other members keep accounatble too.

Wehn you begin to improve the life of those around you you know the process is working

Most people try to sprint change in 6 weeks

The people who actually change their life just keep showing up

Messy consistency not random intensity

12/03/2026

“What if Platform is too intense for me?”

Meanwhile inside Platform…

People dancing between sets
Coaches joining in
And the occasional cone game finisher

Yes we train hard

But we also remember that fitness is supposed to be enjoyable ❤️

People make mistakes, that's ok 😅

11/03/2026

Most people fail because they think progress requires perfection

The perfect week, perfect diet, perfect routine.

What happens when life happens?

One bad meal, one missed session, one stressful week.

That's it we are 'off track'

Real change doesn't work like that

It is messy

You go 3 times instead of 4
You eat well 6 days not 7
You keep stumbling forwards

Messy consistency not random intensity

Kay & Emily won our February monthly challenge...

So naturally we turned them into cartoons and printed them on T shirts 🤣

Because that’s the sort of thing that happens at Platform - couples who train together… apparently end up on merch together too 🤷‍♂️

Community > Everything ❤️

Huge well done to Kay and Emily 🙌

The room you choose matters.

That day raised our standards.

Not just for us but for Platform, it made us aware of what Platform could become.

It's the same for your health and fitness journey, the room you choose matters.

The Platform Story

Platform started as nothing more than an abandoned mill in Dukinfield and a Vision. Mark and Ste who formed Platform decided that the health and fitness services in the area were all lacking huge parts of the process and that ultimately the people of Tameside weren’t getting what they needed. The budget gyms leave you with an intimidating environment and no clue of what to do. The slimming clubs were giving poor nutritional information and setting people up for a cycle of failure by not getting to the root cause of what was causing people to gain weight. The bootcamps and fitness classes just weren’t providing enough support beyond the gym or enough training inside it. And 1-2-1 personal training is just far too expensive for most people to use it the way it is needed. So late night they got together, started at the end and worked backwards. What would the ultimate health and fitness service look like that would tick all those boxes? Bit by bit over the coming years they worked relentlessly on this vision growing both the gym in size and number of members and the coaching team to accommodate the people who were leaving the sub-par services in the area and becoming Platform Shark’s. Now what was essentially an idea born early morning over a coffee in McDonald’s is helping 100’s of people each month in and around Tameside physically and mentally to realise that taking care of themselves can be a fun process, is ever rewarding on yourself, can become a natural part of their life and not a chore that gets forgotten about until it becomes an issue.
