Manchester and District Iyengar Yoga

Manchester and District Iyengar Yoga Over 20 Iyengar yoga classes a week for all levels and abilities. Everyone welcome. Regular weekend events with local and visiting teachers.

MDIIY, a dedicated Iyengar yoga centre, aims to promote the understanding and practice of Iyengar yoga. It is one of the longest established Iyengar yoga Institutes in the UK, its very first AGM was held in 1972. MDIIY runs over 20 Iyengar yoga classes a week in the three fully equipped studios. It holds regular monthly workshops and events run by local, national and international teachers. MDIIY also runs courses for Iyengar yoga teacher training and development. MDIIY is a volunteer-led, mutual organisation, which is run by its members for the benefit of its members.

Hi everyone, it's a restorative yoga night.
The restful, supported postures aim to quieten the nervous system and help to relieve anxiety. These poses help us still the mind through relaxation in the body, which we can take into our daily lives. A few yoga props would be helpful, but not essential.

In hard-working lives, taking ‘time out’ is essential and recuperative yoga can be an essential part, leading to better overall mental and physical health.

If you book in advance, we will send out Zoom links before class, with joining information.
