We visited Hampden on Thursday to take on the Scottish National Football Team. We were game ready and up for it, honest! But then I suddenly woke up and realised in fact we were having a belter of a trip to Hampden Park instead. 🫨 I packed my boots away, disappointed that I wasn't getting a chance to dribble deftly past Dalgliesh with my signature finesse of a 1965 bulldozer. Instead, we were shown some sacred places in Scottish Football, the Hampden Referees Room, the East and West Changing rooms, each respectively claimed by Celtic and Rangers when they're playing there. We discovered that Hampden Park has six floors worth of goings on in there - not only is it our Home stadium, it is home to many of the leagues and organisations that govern different aspects of our game. What a place! We were taken up the winners gantry and we sat in the best seats of the house looking across 122 historic years of Scottish Football. This was one of BIEN's more EPIC days, and here is a 'selection' of photos from multiple sources, Alex Craig, Pat, Nazia et al...great day for everyone who managed to get along to it...WARNING: When St. Johnstone was mentioned, Pat forgot she had a sore shoulder, and punched the air in joyus support of the Perth team with... her sore shoulder. Aye. 😝Photodocumentary evidence enclosed... https://www.hampdenpark.co.uk/see-and-do/scottish-football-museum.html
