Brain Injury Experience Network Welcome to BIEN, the Brain Injury Experience Network. We do stuff and show you it here. We win stuff and show you it here. But our stuff is unique.

Then we do more stuff and show you it here. BIEN is a user led group. We do it ourselves.

Today, BIEN took off to Glasgow Central Station where we were given a tour by the excellent Paul. https://glasgowcentraltours.co.uk/
Here are some photos of our visit, and I have left the following message there: "I attended the afternoon tour with my group BIEN, the Brain Injury Experience Network. Our guide was Paul, who led us down the steps of the stations history, with full explanations of where we were geo-located under the actual station, with what was done where and when, way down to the lower tunnels, where smokey black soot from times past is thick on the brickwork which arches over the dark old tunnels which now only echo the rumbling from above. Paul was an outstanding tour guide. It was an honour to be guided by someone so fully experienced across the spectrum of the Railway industry, and in full command of his knowledge. Our wee group could not have asked for a better tour." Here's the pics! (Our resident photographer Alex Craigwas on another assignment, so these are mine, there may be others to follow...)

Before we went, I was asking myself "The Kelvin Hall? Is there even anything to see there?" AYE! What a real treat it was to see everything there - multiple museums and agencies have come together to make the Kelvin Hall a GO TO place for anyone interested in the heritage and history of this part of Scotland. https://www.glasgowlife.org.uk/museums/venues/kelvin-hall
Amazing. Here's all the evidence you need of what we were up to and how it all went...

Hello Folks.
Tomorrow we have a get together at the Concord in Dumbarton. Folk from the Clydebank area now have transport to BIEN, and back home after! A Taxi will turn up for all us Bankies between 11 and 11.30 to take us there. If you're ready for just after 11am, we'll pick you up - we will call at ALL Clydebank members for pickup unless you've told us not to.
We also have the Kelvin Hall (or/and Art Gallery) as a visit on Thursday, so that's one for us to organise at tomorows Get Together!

Yesterday, December 3rd, we were at the Abbotsford Hotel https://www.abbotsfordhotel.com/ for our Xmas lunch.
The Abbotsford is a friendly, well known local Hotel with great traditional cuisine. Due to Patricia input-wizzardry, all our meals were pre-ordered and ready for our arrival. Totally brilliant.
The legendary raffle was held after the legendary meal, and prizes were won. Thank you to all the local talent and businesses who donated prizes for our raffle, and thank you to our Secretary Patricia who is the SOLE organiser of all this stuff!
Here's photos of our day, guest starring Maisie, who came along with Douglas. Thanks to Alex Craig our brilliant photographer for all the portrait work here, and Nazia for the meal and table photographs. (Some pictures include invited guests and Carers) More photos may follow. 😊

Wow, we have even more local contributions to our Raffle!
