At Dumfries Dental Laboratory, we are pleased to offer in‑house surgical guide manufacture, combining the latest digital imaging, design, and 3D fabrication technologies to deliver highly accurate guides that support safe, efficient implant surgery and other guided procedures.
A surgical guide (also called a surgical or implant template) is a custom device fabricated based on patient‑specific anatomical data (e.g. CBCT scans, intraoral scans or impressions). It guides the location, angle, depth (and sometimes the path) of implant drills, or other surgical instruments, during dental surgery. The aim is to enhance precision, reduce risk, improve surgical efficiency, reduce trauma, and improve patient outcomes.
