Delighted to have passed my exam with flying colours!!😁🎉🙌

As well as learning new techniques to massage the body, face and abdomen, the course has given me the knowledge of the therapeutic benefits of up to 100 acupressure/ acupuncture points, which I can now use within a massage to help with a variety of health conditions.

It was such a privilege to be taught by Maria Mercati, an expert on Tui Na in the West. Her knowledge from study in China and many years of experience has been so inspiring. I definitely want to learn more of this fascinating ancient healing system.

What’s Tui Na?

Tui Na is one of the four main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It far more than a massage, and much more than just a collection of massage techniques to relieve muscle aches. It works the body on a much deeper energetic level to rebalance the flow of Qi – the body’s life force energy – making it more powerful than a normal massage.

Without the strong, even and free flow of Qi, poor health, mental and physical illness and pain can set in. Much like acupuncture, Tui Na targets specific acu-points but instead of needles, pressure is used to stimulate points and meridians to rebalance the body and improve health. It is a vigorous massage performed over clothing and aims to leave muscles, body and mind more relaxed, invigorated and in less pain.
