Over the weekend our Activities person has been pampering some of our Residents with manicures, hand massages and even hair styling. Even the gents didn’t get left out with a couple now sporting short and square nails that make them look very dapper. Some of my favourite manicures were the pale pink, a dark blue and the red with a touch of glitter!

A date for the dairy 14th December we will be hosting our Christmas fair. Our residents have made some decorations and items to sell to raise funds for our residents fund we have our eye on a upgraded tv for our cinema afternoons and front lounge area. A date for the diary we will be having our residents Christmas party Thursday 18th December from 12pm we will start off with Christmas lunch followed by carol singing and some festive games then we will be having a buffet tea we invite all our friends and families to join us. Who remembers getting tablet or macaroon when guising ? Today a couple of the residents and our activities lady got busy in the kitchen making some proper Scottish treats of macaroon and tablet we made a couple of big batches (and some vegan tablet too! For our Dairy free resident and staff ) a big thanks to Susan in the kitchen for cooking us our potatoes for the macaroon! Tomorrow I will be portioning it all up to give some out as treats and for our residents to enjoy! we hope to see some good costumes of those Guising! Happy Samhain.

Today we had a spa day. We turned our salon and conservatory area into a spa with comfy chairs relaxing music along with lots of lovely things from Sotropic by Debz Tweedie, Debz did mini facials, and hand massages and Christine our activities person did manicures. One of our ladies said she felt so pampered and like a new woman. It was so successful that we will be doing it again!

As part of our harvest festival we decided to do some flower arranging In pumpkins they look so good . A big thanks to my lovely helpers putting up our Halloween and autumn decor. If your in for a visit you will see the pumpkins all lined up at our entrance we will be arranging for the food we have collected to go to a local food bank later this week. We will take a picture to show everyone, we have been so proud of the generosity of our families and friends so a big thankyou to all who’ve dropped something into the box at reception.
