It was great to be back and I really enjoyed teaching these simple top to toe stretchy slow flow classes. 🧘🏽🧘🏽‍♂️

I had lots of lovely feedback from people so hopefully you all enjoyed it as much as I did. 🥰

We will be back again same place and time next week. Until then have a great week.

Why wouldn’t you? 😍🎶💃🕺

As the creator of Body Groove, I often get asked questions like…

👉 Will dancing help me get in shape?
👉 Can I lose weight just by grooving?
👉 Will this make me feel better?

The short answer? YES. Every time.

We’ve seen it firsthand in our Body Groove community—movement does transform.

We groove to strengthen our bodies, clear our minds, lift our spirits, and, honestly… because it feels amazing.

But what’s even more powerful than the physical results is the deeper transformation that unfolds.

Groove often becomes a language for what words can’t say.

It’s the spark of self-love rekindled.

It’s the resilience that rises through grief or uncertainty.

It’s the freedom of a shimmy, a waltz, or a joyful bounce across your living room.

At our core, we all want to be seen and understood.

And sometimes, the most honest expression of who we are doesn’t come from speaking—it comes from moving.

Because deep down, we know we’re not ordinary.

We’re each a one-of-a-kind creation, layered with stories, strengths, and soul.

Groove helps us show that.

So ask yourself—not just why you groove…

But honestly:
Why wouldn’t you?

With love,
Misty 💜

Yoga classes are back on this week!

Monday - Beeswing Memorial Hall - 6pm

Wednesday - The Bridge Wellness Centre, Dalbeattie- 10am

I’ve just returned from a few days up North and this picture was taken at Roseisle - a beautiful pine forest right next to the beach - absolutely stunning place and so peaceful.

If you would like to cultivate some peace - I can’t offer you soft sands and pine trees but I can offer you the space to find an hour of calm in your busy week with a relaxing yoga class.

This is your chance to get your body moving, practice some deep mindful breathing and then relax and let go of tension and stresses.

I’m home after a few days away up North. We stayed in a cosy cabin and explored some of the Moray Coast and surrounding area and a little bit of the Cairngorms as well.

We did loads of walking and fitted in a castle, 2 stone circles, a coastal walk where we saw various caves and impressive rocks along the way, a pine forest next to the beach, waterfalls, rock pools, rivers, sunshine, beaches and snowy mountains.

How we fitted all of that into 4 days I don’t know 🤣 I’m now exhausted but it was worth it. 😊🙏🏽

Back to work tomorrow and yoga is back on this week. Join me if you fancy it! 🧘🏽🧘🏽‍♀️🧘🏽‍♂️

Why practice Nia?

Nia Dance Fitness classes with certified Blue Belt Instructor Lucy Rose Donovan Weekly classes take place at Studio 3, Lovers Lane Studios, Rae St, Dumfries - Tuesdays at 6pm and Thursdays at 10.30am and at Summerhill Community Centre - Wednesdays at 12.30pm. Nia fitness is based on the idea that exercise should feel good inside and out. This doesn't mean that you can't challenge yourself - you can - but you can also learn to feel good whilst doing so! Taking inspiration from Martial Arts, Dance Arts and Healing Arts such as yoga, Nia allows you to find comfortable ways of building your flexibility, agility, mobility, strength and stability. Nia is practiced barefoot and set to music from all over the world. Every class is tailored and adapted to individual needs and abilities. Typically, Nia classes last 60 minutes and include a mindful intention, warm-up, aerobic conditioning, strength training, cool down and movements promoting flexibility. It's a workout but it's so much more...and has to be experienced to be fully understood! Nia choreography is based on 52 moves designed to exercise every joint and muscle group in the body.

Nia has a focus on learning to love your body and expressing yourself through moving in your body’s unique way. For more information go to www.nianow.com
