Thinking about my window of tolerance today.
Your window of tolerance is your optimal zone before your nervous system gets disregulated.
When you are pushed out of this window 2 things a can happen- You can go into hypo arousal - numbness,or shut down or you can be in hyper-arousal state where you are anxious with thoughts racing.
Just notice what you can tolerate today!!! If it’s too much, please pause …. Deep breath in and out and ask yourself what am I noticing? What can I do to ease this, even just slightly. What happens then is you allow yourself to slip back into your parasympathetic nervous system, activate your vagus nerve - this is your safe place and back into that window of tolerance. This is better for the body and mind and doesn’t keep raising the cortisol levels.
