Claremont had a fantastic Jubilee Celebration on the 3rd of June. Some of our Residents were joined by family members which was great as it shows life is getting back to normal after Covid. Phyllis, Chair of the Board; Tony, Estates Manager; Beth, HR Manager and Paula, Quality Improvement & Compliance Officer all attended too, their support was very much appreciated.

I would like to say a massive thank you to all staff at Claremont who went above and beyond their role to ensure our Residents had a great afternoon, they are a fantastic team and never disappoint.

To Julia for supplying all the China, seat covers and bows. To Hannah who volunteered her expertise in the kitchen and waitressing and to everyone who donated prizes for our raffle. Thank you.

We will be planning our next event shortly and would love to see you all then!

Susan Clark
Acting Care Home Manager.

DGMHA was both flattered and honoured that the pupils from S3 in North West Community Campus, in partnership with the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative, The Holywood trust and The Wood Foundation chose our charity as part of their project which was to highlight the work of local charities with the aim of being awarded a cheque for £3,000.
All the groups put together excellent presentations on the charities which included ourselves, Women’s Aid, Get Cycling and Aberlour and they were represented by excellent presentations from the S3 pupils.
DGMHA was delighted to win the award and are currently working with the residents of our care home to improve the quality of the
furnishings in their home.
We are very grateful to all involved, especially the S3 pupils who chose our charity over the many others that are in the area.

To highlight this they have made a "worry monster" children could post how they were feeling in its mouth. This has worked so well they have decided to continue using it. 😊
