Our very own Graham was mentioned in the British Cycling Post. Diagnosed in 2017, Graham uses cycling to keep himself fit and manage his Parkinson’s symptoms. He is a great advocate of exercise and a great support to those in Parkinson’s Group … go Graham go !! 👍💪👊

The British Cycling Foundation and Parkinson's UK have partnered to help break down barriers to cycling for those living with Parkinson’s through a pilot programme of activity.

We have been working on Cardio in PD warrior this month .. so important 💪

This April in PD Warrior PLUS, we’re focusing on the power of cardiovascular training and why it’s essential for both your body and your brain. You’ll learn how to build your “engine” with simple, effective strategies to improve endurance, sharpen thinking, and support everyday movement—along with guided circuits and practical coaching tips to help you train with confidence.

This month’s Exercise of the Month is in keeping with the theme of cardiovascular fitness training. Hot Coals is intended to get your increase your heart rate and get you slightly out of breath. This exercise will also challenge your dynamic balance and agility at the same time. If you have balance concerns or if you experience any freezing of gait please ensure you are holding on to a bench or the back of the chair. This will increase your safety and allow you to increase the speed of the movement. Build up slow and as you progress, increase the speed and duration of your repetitions.
