Hello, I’m Lisa, the face behind The Glow Room. 🌿

I first studied Beauty Care and Make-up at college around 14 years ago and went on to work self-employed in a friend’s hairdressing salon. I had four fabulous years there before life took me in a different direction.

Over the years I’ve continued to look after a small number of loyal clients for waxing, tinting and nails (some of whom are still with me today!), but my real passion has always been holistic treatments and wellbeing.

Becoming a Tropic Ambassador in 2023 helped me realise just how much I love the wellness side of the industry and how powerful good skincare and self-care can be.

So here we are…
Tucked away in the attic of one of Dumfries’ most iconic buildings, The Glow Room at Moat Brae is ready to welcome you.

A calm space to pause, reset, and start putting your wellness first. ✨

🌿 International Women’s Day is coming… and this year the theme is Give to Gain.

I’ve been thinking about that a lot.
Because every step I’ve taken towards opening this space has happened because women supported me. Encouraged me. Booked with me. Shared my posts. Cheered me on.

When women support women, everybody rises.

So during soft launch month in March, every treatment booked will give something back.
