We’re proud to share that Lammermuir House has been rated ‘Good’ in our recent Care Inspectorate visit — a reflection of our team’s kindness, professionalism and dedication.

As the last remaining care home in Dunbar, we’re honoured to support our local community, with many of our residents having lifelong connections to the area.

🎄✨ Festive Fun at Lammermuir House! ✨🎄

On Sunday, we were thrilled to welcome Dunbar Table Tennis Youth Club for a special Christmas visit! 🏓 The afternoon was filled with laughter, a mini tournament, and plenty of festive cheer.

Our wonderful young visitors brought homemade Christmas cards 🎨💌 and gifts for our residents, spreading joy and creating heartwarming moments that truly capture the spirit of the season.

A huge thank you to the Youth Club for their kindness and continued support – you’ve made this Christmas extra special for everyone at Lammermuir House! ❤️

Dear Relatives and Visitors,

We are writing to inform you of an important measure we are taking to protect the health and wellbeing of our residents and staff.

As you may be aware, and have read in the news, there has been a significant increase in the prevalence of flu, other respiratory infections and gastric upset in the community. To help minimise the risk of transmission within our home, we kindly ask that you avoid visiting if you are feeling unwell, have a temperature, or are experiencing any signs or symptoms of a respiratory illness (such as cough, sore throat, or congestion) or gastric upset (diarrhoea and vomiting).

Our priority is to maintain a safe environment for everyone. By following this guidance, you will help us reduce the risk of infection and safeguard those who are most vulnerable.

Staying Connected

We understand how important it is to maintain contact with your loved ones. If you are unable to visit in person, we encourage you to make use of alternative ways to stay connected, such as telephone calls or video calls. Our team will be happy to assist in arranging virtual visits to ensure you can continue to share time and conversation with your family member.
