'Infrared x Shiatsu Collab' is now a monthly event!

Working with Solāis Wellness is purely a joy, but seeing how these two therapies complement each other is what truly excites me. (I've seen this through my lovely regular clients)

Here are why it works (through my point of view):

⚡️Joint Reset: Infrared heat deeply relaxes the joints, helping them find the perfect balance between flexibility and stability.

⚡️Deeper Healing: Whether you start with Infrared or Shiatsu, the combination helps 'melt' tension away, allowing me to find and release blockages much faster.

Experience this incredible "reset" for yourself every month!
I just thought about this but this would be a perfect 'healthy' gift for your loved ones, too!!

We have limited slots, so hurry hurry!

静 -Stillness

We often treat stillness like a luxury we can't afford, but it’s actually a simple choice we make.

It’s not about finding the time; it’s about making the commitment.

Try this right now:
Go to your room,
Duck into the bathroom,
or
even just cover your head with a throw.

Set a timer for 3 minutes and just be.

This isn't a negotiation; it’s a choice.

Let me know how those 3 minutes of stillness felt? 😉

Growing up, my mum always gave my sister and me the same piece of advice: whenever you’re upset, worried, or scared, just wait a few seconds before you speak.

She knew that when we aren't feeling "stable," our emotions are just waiting to hijack our words—and once something is said, you can’t take it back.

I used to hear from foreign men (friends) dating or married to Japanese women say: "When she’s upset, she just goes quiet, and I have no idea what’s wrong!" 😂

Culturally, sure, we, Japanese aren't always the best at expressing our feelings or opinions.

But for me, it’s my mum’s voice stuck in my head. I also think it’s only fair to put myself in the other person’s shoes; I know I’d appreciate it if someone did the same for me (even though it doesn't happen that often... 😂).

'Silence' can be agitating for some people, but I think it’s actually a sign of respect.

When someone/something matters to you, you owe it to them to be mindful of your words before you let them out.

What I also love about 'silence' is that it actually reveals so many more 'layers' and 'colours' of a situation—and of people’s personalities, too. 😊

No words are sometimes full of words....wise ones🙂

桜 -SAKURA/Cherry Blossoms

Every time this season comes, I always feel 'funny' that I'm actually surrounded by lots of cherry blossom trees😅

Even though Sakura grows outside Japan, my friends back in Japan are always so surprised when I tell them I’m seeing them right here in Scotland! 😄

It really shows how much culture shapes our perspective. The way people view Sakura in Scotland/uk is so different from how they do in Japan.

For example, the older generation in Japan thinks they’re beautiful (of course!!), but they also see them as something "ephemeral." You’ll often hear them say things like, "I wonder how many more times I'll get to see this..."....while younger generations go nuts with 'HANAMI'😂😂😂

I honestly find it fascinating how much our culture/times changes the way we see nature and the world around us.

緩 -loose

When your body is tight—whether from pain, stress, or the cold—your mobility shrinks. And you end up forcing movements within a restricted range, which piles extra stress on your joints and muscles.

You can probably imagine the result: chronic tension, injury, and burnout.

When your body and mind are loose, you create freedom and space, which makes every action feel more effortless and fluid.

A friend who is an off-road motorbike instructor once told me:
"I’ve realised that in any situation, your performance is usually better than you imagined when you aren't being too serious."

When you take things too seriously, you physically 'brace' for impact. Your muscles firm up, creating a instant ceiling on your potential.

You might feel powerful in the moment, but that rigidity leads to a heavy toll later on.

The body is connected to the mind. This means that physical tightness is usually just your brain holding on too tight.
Once you ease off "getting it right", your body finally gets the message and relaxes.
By softening up a bit, you don’t just feel better—you actually move and think a whole lot smoother.

Don't think, Just do it and feel the result😉

全 -Holistic

What does 'Holistic' mean?

'Holistic' refers to the principle of holism: the theory that parts of a whole are in intimate interconnection, such that they cannot exist or be understood independently of the whole....blah blah blah....😆

Simply put, it means to focus on the WHOLE rather than just the individual part, because everything is connected at some point.

In any kind of therapy, the goal should always be the same: to help you feel better, lighter, and more like yourself.

Whether I am giving a massage, working with brush calligraphy, or offering a psychic reading, I always try to look at the whole picture.

It is very easy to get "stuck" focusing on just one technique or one way of thinking. However, there is a big difference between 'being obsessed with your own skill' and 'being truly proud of how you help others'.

When we focus too much on our own "talent," we often carry fear, pressure, and stress—which OTHERS CAN PICK UP. I have been there myself, and I can tell you, it isn’t a cosy place to be! 😅

Having a holistic view allows me to stay open and curious. It keeps my work honest and my heart calm.

When we look at the 'whole,' we feel less stressed, our relationships grow steadier, and our daily energy stays balanced, because the calmness you get helps you see what matters to you. THIS is a happy&cosy place to be!!

Let's value being more 'HOLISTIC'☺️
