This month I have been undergoing further training on dermoscopy and MASCED (melanoma and skin cancer early detection). Skin cancer is one of the most preventable types of cancer (almost 90% is preventable) and it is the most common type of cancer worldwide. The good news is that when detected early, the 5-year survival rate for melanoma is 99%.

If you have a skin lesion that is changing colour / size, painful, bleeding or perhaps looks different to the rest on your body, or you would just like to get it checked, we can assess it for you at Cairn Media Clinic in The Sunflower Rooms.

This was first thing in the morning after my shower on day 3, before my tinted SPF50. The only thing slightly noticeable is the fine sandpaper texture feel which is starting to exfoliate off but still on my cheeks. Keeping the skin hydrated helps 👌🏻

I feel like this recovery has been even quicker than my last Secret Pro recovery.

Day 1 of my Secret Pro recovery journey, my skin feels tight, rough like a fine sandpaper but not too red and not sore at all!

It hasn’t stopped me going about my daily business anyway.

I’ve continued with my Skinceuticals CE Ferulic and RGN6 moisturiser, then applied Aquaphor to help trap the moisture in the skin.

I would never recommend something I wouldn’t trust for my own skin.

Having previously used conservative settings I wanted to try increasing them slightly (still a long way off the potential I could increase them to) but this should always be done gradually.

More energy isn’t always better — the goal is controlled stimulation, not excessive damage. We’re aiming for enough controlled heat to wake up collagen production and trigger repair, without overheating the skin. It’s about precision rather than maximum intensity.
