Festive Opening Times 🎄✨

The surgery will be closed on the following days over the festive period: Mon 26th and Tue 27th December as well as Mon 2nd and Tue 3rd January 2023. The surgery will be open as usual from 8am to 6pm on all other days.

Practice COVID Vaccination Update 🚨

The Practice has now administered the 2nd Covid-19 vaccination to the following Government priority groups:
* Over 80’s
* Over 75’s
* Over 70’s and extremely vulnerable patients (shielding)

All patients who received their 1st Covid-19 vaccine at the Practice will have been given an appointment to receive their 2nd vaccine. If you have not had your 2nd vaccination please contact reception on 01382 462222.

If you are not in any of the above Government priority groups or if you received your 1st vaccine elsewhere, please do not contact the Practice to arrange a 2nd vaccine. You will be contacted again by NHS Tayside who will advise of when your 2nd vaccine appointment is.

Vaccination Passport/Status Certificate:
Please do not contact us to ask for a Covid vaccination passport or status certificate as we are not able to provide any standard document.

International certification standards have not yet been agreed. The Scottish Government is working to support the re-opening of international travel once it is safe to do so, working with the other UK Nations and with the World Health Organisation to agree on potential future COVID certification requirements for international travel. As part of this, they are developing a technical solution that could allow people to access their Covid vaccination status directly.

Tayside Vaccination Centres update - 9.30am

All community vaccination clinics across Tayside are operating today as planned so people should attend if it is safe for them to do so.

Please find the latest update for the vaccination centres in Tayside below:

Caird Hall, Dundee - Open
Dewar’s Centre, Perth - Open
Blairgowrie Town Hall - Open
Stracathro Hospital - Open
Montrose Links Health Centre - Open
Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre, Forfar - Open
Arbroath Infirmary - Open

Please only attend if it’s safe for you to do so. We would also ask people where possible not to arrive more than five minutes before their appointment time to help ease any congestion.

What we would really like people to know is that even if they are going to be late for their appointment due to the adverse weather, we will make sure they are vaccinated.

If you are unable to make it today, please do not worry. We will be back in touch to make another appointment for you. You do not need to contact us. Our vaccination teams are working really hard to make sure we can vaccinate everyone today and so they are asking people not to phone in if they cannot attend.

The team will call you as soon as possible to reschedule your vaccination.

The guidance is a little bit different if you are due to go to your GP practice for a vaccination. If you cannot make it, please give them a phone and they will be able to book you into another appointment for your jab.

The situation with all vaccination centres will continue to be reviewed and we will advise if any centre has to close due to the wintry weather. If we need to cancel any of our clinics, we will update this information through our website www.nhstayside.scot.nhs.uk and our social media channels, so please keep an eye out before leaving to travel to a clinic.

We are very pleased to announce our newest member of the medical team - Dr Nick Heath!

Before medicine, Dr Health worked in outdoor education. His new post is between the Emergency and Acute Medical departments in Ninewells as well as his position as GP here at the surgery - where he will join us from Wednesday to Friday.

Dr Heath’s specialist interests include Acute Care, Sexual Health and Palliative Medicine
