Following retirement, NHS Tayside is recruiting an exceptional leader to take on the role of Head of Human Resources – Business Relations.
This is a unique opportunity to influence the staff experience across our organisation and support managers in delivering high‑quality services for the people of Tayside.
🔍 About the Role
As part of the People & Culture Directorate, you’ll help support around 14,000 employees across Angus, Dundee, Perth and Kinross.
In this senior leadership role, you will:
✔ Lead and strengthen our Business Relations function
✔ Drive workforce transformation and service excellence
✔ Provide expert HR guidance to leaders across NHS Tayside, including Board Executives
✔ Support a positive employee relations culture in partnership with trade unions
✔ Promote best‑practice HR approaches aligned with organisational priorities
✔ Hold responsibility for key HR portfolio areas ensuring strong staff governance
👀 What We’re Looking For
We want to hear from leaders who can bring:
✨ A strong track record in People & Culture leadership
✨ Experience delivering impactful HR outcomes in complex environments
✨ NHS HR leadership experience or transferable senior‑level HR expertise from similarly complex sectors
✨ A commitment to partnership working and large‑scale workforce improvement
