It's No Smoking Day today!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

The Quit Your Way team, joined by the Community Safety Engagement Team from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service will be visiting the locations below to give our advice and support. Please come along and have a chat to us.

We would love to see you!

· Boomerang Community Centre, Kemback Street, Dundee between 9.30am -11.30am

· Ninewells Hospital, main concourse, Dundee between 10.30am -1pm

· Lochee Community Hub, Lochee High Street between 2.30pm – 3.30pm

Or if you can't make it along, remember that your local pharmacy can support you to make a quit attempt too.

People stop smoking for lots of reason, it might be finances, health or thinking about the future.

If you are thinking of stopping because of loved ones such as grandchildren then here are some helpful hints:

Ask your family and friends for support
a. Let family and friends know that you don’t smoke anymore and that you might need support to get through tough times. Ask them not to offer you anymore ci******es
b. Change your mindset, and that of others by telling people that you don’t smoke, that you will not be smoking and you are a non-smoker.

Remember, you can do it! Remember all our community pharmacies will help you with your quit attempt! Pop in and speak to one of the trained staff when it suits you.

In Tayside, we also have an incentive scheme to quit smoking that offers £50 a month in weekly vouchers to spend at a local supermarket. Your local pharmacy can give you more information and let you know if you are eligible for the incentive scheme.
