🌟What's Scrapening?🌟

💜 Women's Wednesday! - Every Wednesday we welcome women from across Dundee to get together for conversation, a cuppa and to try lots of different activities. This week, we're heading over to to take part in Stories in Motion - a creative movement class exploring our own stories through dance, poetry, music and expression. It's been excellent fun so far! The group meets in our Wellgate community hub each week between 10am and 12pm.

✂️ScrapThursday - This Thursday (much like every Thursday) we open our doors to welcome in anyone who'd like to be a part of the Scrap Community. Pop in for a cuppa and a chat, get a wee soup and a sandwich and take part in projects run by our incredible team of volunteers. This week, we've very lucky to be joined by barbering students from who will be giving haircuts to those who'd like one - FREE OF CHARGE! A good haircut is more than just your outward appearance, it's taking the time to take care of yourself, build confidence and feel good! We hope to see you all!

🛍️ Community Wardrobe - No one should ever have to go without the essentials. That's why every Friday morning we open up for folks to drop in and collect things they may need - clothing, food, toiletries, cleaning supplies and period products. No referral needed, no questions asked. If we have it then we're happy to share. This links to our core values of sustainability, keeping things out of landfill and circulating in our community! Drop in between 10am and 12pm at our Wellgate Community Hub.

🌱Loose Parts Play! - On Saturday from 12pm - 4pm (21st of March) we'll be out in Whitfield as part of the Community Day. As one of the core members of Changemakers we take huge pride in these events, bringing people together to enjoy the green spaces in our community, share ideas and work together to make great things happen. Loose parts play is a great way to get imaginative, active and play together as a whole family or community. Come along and get hands on!

SAVE THE DATE! 📅

ScrapAntics is proud to be working alongside , and .cafe to host the Climate and Social Justice Hustings.

With the general election on the way this is your chance to hear from MSPs directly what their policies on climate and social justice are. You'll also have the chance to ask questions if you'd like to. Most importantly you'll be in the room with folks who are passionate about the same issues you are - great for sharing ideas and building community.

The event will be a focused 1 hour discussion in Studio 3 within on Thursday 2nd April at 2pm!
We hope to see you there!

We are so back! 💇✂️

We're very lucky to have a visit from barbering students next week. The students will be here to provide FREE haircuts to anyone who is interested. These will take place on a first come, first serve basis during our community drop in - ScrapThursdays - which runs from 12pm to 3pm.

We recognise that it's more than just a haircut - it's self-care, a confidence boost and can be hugely impactful on your wellbeing. We're very grateful to be able to provide these opportunities to both students and our community members! 🫶

Please note - the students are studying barbering, not hairdressing and so will be limited to shorter/traditionally masculine hairstyles. ✂️💇‍♂️
