If you have an RTS type meter, then here's a further update about the switch off of you meter.
Please note - as the RTS signal switch-off and replacement meters are being handled by your energy company directly, it isn't anything to do with us, and you'll need to speak to your energy supplier to get a replacement smart meter if you haven't already done so.
Homes with RTS meters are typically in areas with no mains gas supply (often flats or in rural areas), and the home is usually heated using electric storage heaters.
If you are unsure if you have an RTS meter or whether you need a replacement, please contact your energy supplier directly.
The Radio Teleswitch (RTS) turn off will now to take place between 2nd March and 17th June 2026.
There is no information available to advise a timetable for the switch off in each area.
Your energy supplier has been in touch already to arrange the upgrade to a smart meter, and you should now contact them to arrange an appointment for these works to be carried out.
This upgrade will make sure your heating and hot water still functions as it should and that your energy costs are correct
