Hillcrest FB We provide housing, care, wider role, training and employment opportunities. www.hillcrest.org.uk

Hillcrest Housing Association was formed in 1967 and over the decades has continually evolved its structure to meet changing and challenging operating conditions. We are unusual for a Scottish RSL in that we have a large and diverse group structure. The purpose of operating as the Hillcrest Group of Companies is to be more than a traditional housing association by providing a range of housing, care and wider role service. We are not only a large housing provider but also have a substantial care company, maintenance company and a training/employment arm helping people overcome barriers to finding sustainable employment.

A big thank you to Rangers FC player Lyall Cameron for stopping by our Tullideph Outreach office to sign a Rangers top for Douglas’ birthday. Douglas receives support from our Tullideph learning disability service in Dundee, and support worker Ellie went out of her way to make this surprise happen.

This is just one example of the care and commitment our Hillcrest Futures teams bring to the people they support every day to help make special memories.

Lyall is pictured with Tullideph service manager, Ann Timmons.

Hillcrest Futures Senior Project Worker, Justyna Zalewska, spoke to That's TV Tayside about Dundee Recovery Month, a time to celebrate recovery, challenge stigma and raise awareness of the support available in Dundee.

She was joined by Support Worker Franclyn Davie and volunteer Andy Barrett, who shared how inclusive programmes like these are vital to reducing drug-related deaths.

Throughout September, we're teaming up with several services and organisations in Dundee to run events, workshops and support sessions across the city.

Whether you're on your own recovery journey, supporting someone else, or just want to learn more, there's something for everyone.

On Saturday 20th September, Team Hillcrest will be taking on the legendary Banchory Beast Race, a wild and muddy 10K obstacle course all whilst raising funds for the Hillcrest Foundation. With 30 brave participants, including our own staff, friends from The Good Joinery Co. and participants from David Lloyd Dundee, this team are ready for the challenge.

The Hillcrest Foundation seeks to improve people’s lives and create positive futures by helping to reduce inequalities, isolation and improve health and wellbeing across Scotland. The Foundation does this by providing grants to vital charities and community organisations.

We want to wish everyone taking part the very best of luck and a huge thank you to all involved.
