Our Young Carers Team had a great afternoon with some of the new S1 pupils from Grove Academy on Wednesday 30th July. We took part in a scavenger hunt around the whole school and spotted lots of positive messaging and information as we went from one department to another. We love Grove Academy's message for promoting positive mental health, a lovely reminder that being kind in how we treat others is the greatest strength of all. ❤️❤️

A fun afternoon getting to know some young people topped off with pizza for tea! 🍕 A perfect day all round.

Thanks to Dundee Carers Centre for inviting us along to join in the fun.

We are closed today (Monday 28th July) for the public holiday.
This means we won't have staff available to chat to via our phones, social media or live chat and our Drop-In will be closed this afternoon.
If you do need urgent help and advice today, here are a few things that you can do:
Always call 999 in an emergency.
If it is not an emergency, but you do need to speak to someone today and your local pharmacy or GP practice is closed, please call NHS 24 on 111.
You can also call Samaritans on 116 123 for support.

We are hiring a Senior Sexual Health Nurse

You will have a key role in providing holistic, sexual, physical and emotional wellbeing support and services to young people across Tayside who have come to the Corner as part of the Bairns Hoose support pathway across Tayside (bairnshoosescotland.com).

You will be registered with the UK NMC and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to demonstrate effective leadership, including the ability and skills in work within a multi-disciplinary team.

We are seeking a practitioner with clinical experience appropriate to the role and who has evidence of relevant degree level and post registration qualification within the speciality.

You must demonstrate an understanding of the issues faced by Young People and have experience of working with young people in a range of settings.

Hours of work are: 14.8 hours per week. Fixed Term/Secondment to 31 March 2026.

Our Young Carers team were invited along by Dundee Carers Centre to join their annual City Centre Scavenger Hunt earlier this week. It was great to meet some of the young carers moving up to S1 at St Pauls Academy after the summer!

We had lots of fun, learnt interesting facts about our City and realised how many cool statues, sculptures and art works are dotted around town. We walk past these nearly every day and didn't even realise they were there.....pretty cool!! Do you recognise any ??? Why don't you try having a look out for them next time you're in town. 🙂
