Hi everyone!
Medic Insight Dundee is recruiting members for our 2024/25 committee. We are a student society which provides free work experience programmes and placements for high school pupils in Tayside who are interested in studying medicine.
We are looking for:
* 3x Upper School Representatives (Years 4-5)
* 3x Lower School Representatives (Years 1-3 and BMSc)
* Outreach Team Leader (any year group)
As an Upper or Lower School Representative, you would work as part of a large team to organise, create, promote and deliver various medical work experience events and placements for school pupils across a range of year groups.
As Outreach Team Leader, your role would be to promote our work and events to pupils across Tayside and surrounding areas, their parents and their schools via email and social media. You would also get to be involved in delivering the events themselves.
This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a society which has helped so many pupils - maybe even you! - gain the experience, confidence and insight they need to get into medical school! It’s also a great chance to develop your team working, leadership, communication and organisational skills, which will be invaluable for your portfolio/CV. Students from any year group are encouraged to apply!
Our AGM will be held on Monday 23rd September at 6pm in the Peep O’Day Lane Room on the 1st floor of the Main Library on campus.
