Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet and hands correspond with different areas of the body. I work holistically with my clients to promote relaxation and benefit general health and well being without claiming to cure or diagnose. Reflexology is a very individual treatment which is tailored to you as a whole person, taking into account both physical and non-physical factors that might be affecting your wellbeing. Some people find it works for them - some don't. The best way to find out is to try it!
The theory is that reflexology helps the body to restore its balance naturally. After treatment my clients have found that their tension has been reduced and they feel calmer and more relaxed. Some also report to have slept better and become aware that their mood and sense of wellbeing had improved.

💚Week 4. 💚24/3 Post cleanse results and what we are doing moving forward.

💚Alison: My last colonic was easy and I feel soooo Peaceful. Im honestly “Back on track”. Feeling shapely and comfy in my clothes again. More importantly my sleep has improved massively and flushes reduced to a one off!!! You cannot put a price on that. I’m up at 6am and ready for the day! I’m now following the Leptin reset and it’s easy! I love 3 meals a day. I love food ! x

💚Carolyn: so I’ve lost over 8lbs in weight, 2 inches of my tummy and bust! I’m sooo pleased that my clothes are sitting comfortable again. Sleeps better. Brain fogs lifted and I feel ready to plan out the rest of 2025 and follow the 3 meals a day principle.

Mid cleanse: Day 2 to 5 Diaries of how we have felt and change to our physical and mental well being.


💚Alison’s Detox journey:
I had my mind in the right “HeadSpace” for this fast so was happy to begin. Within the first 24 hours I felt a difference; less inflamed and bloated and it felt right within me to be fasting.
After the first colonic I slept what I felt to be deeply, for the first time in months. By day 4 the night sweats had all but disappeared so this was making the fast easy. I had caffeine withdrawals badly on day 2/3 but that was entirely my own fault as I should have stopped at least the week before starting the cleanse but greedy me never. My skin, hair, eyes all looked brighter and shinier. My legs felt heavy some days; toxins leaving …..but the brain fog left quickly after day 2. I walked Loch lee (13 miles.) and I felt myself flagging a bit so had 2 servings of bone broth that day. My moods been really peaceful and I am feeling “enough.” I’m definitely cutting the yeasts and sugars as much as possible after cleanse.

💚Carolyns journey:
I was motivated for this as I felt really sluggish and slow so I was ready to fast.
Day 2. Feeling great, colonic yesterday really helped me feel clear and uplifted. I was extremely windy but never once felt hungry. Felt I was in control.
Day 3. Very heavy, lead legs again and brain fog today.
Day 5. Best night’s sleep so far! I woke up with a headache and realised I had not drank enough extra water the previous day. Once I was hydrated again I felt really empowered! Second colonic tomorrow. Already feel I’ve lost weight too.

💚Over the next few days we shall prepare to break the juice fast slowly. This process is as important as the cleanse itself. 💚January has just gone and the pressure to get back in shape is on! Menopause makes it so much harder. Why?
Evidence from the SWAN study & The Healthy Women’s study suggests on average women gain approximately 1.5kgs per year during perimenopause transition, resulting in an average weight gain of 10kg by the time menopause is reached. Most weight accumulates on the abdomen and upper body. And don’t we know it!

💚We really need to move, why?
Physically active middle aged women have greater perceived quality of life as they age. A new Australian longitudinal study observed that women who met physically active guidelines during mid-life had increased health related quality of life by the time they reached age 68-73. The same outcome was also achieved by women who began to meet the guidelines by the age of 55, demonstrating the value of lifestyle changes later in life.

💚Why are we feeling down or out of sorts?
Perimenopause women are more likely to experience depression. A systematic review and Metaanalysis concluded that perimenopause women are 40% more likely to experience depression than women at other life stages. The research included seven studies on women from various countries, suggesting the result isn’t attributed to cultural & lifestyle factors.

Prepare to cleanse for menopause ease.

Menopause progression made me feel old and I sure as hell was not ready to be. Too Young to Grow Old, was written by my Coach & Trainer and is certainly a recommended read ladies. Anna-Lise inspired me to take up detox & cleansing regular. It changed my life completely and my career path.
Cleansing to me is more important than having the car or heating serviced. I look at it like human servicing; cleaning the pipes to get rid of the gunge; drain the old oil & water to refresh and renew with better, cleaner product so my whole system can run on full power, and I feel energised! My aim is to cleanse twice a year and I will testify after each I perform more efficiently. It lifts the brain fog and makes me feel young again. More importantly I regain control over my sugar addiction which keeps my weight healthy. I feel revitalised for months!

This year's cleanse is from Dr. Bernard Jensen's book. Dr. Jensen was one of USAs pioneering nutritionists from 1929, who searched for remedies for his own health conditions through nutrition.in 1955 he established a retreat in California dedicated to the healing principles of nature.
Our bodies are polluted with chemicals from processed foods, antibiotics and other medications, alcohol/drug abuse, stress

To do a lifestyle over haul overnight is pretty hard and stupid. Your body will crave the things you have on a daily basis so we need to omit things in the build up to going clean. For instance, I love coffee so for at least a week before I will cut it down to just 2 then 1 then zero so l don't get the caffeine withdrawals. I also cut out the treats; biscuits and sweet things I have the habit of having after food. On my experience this makes the process gentler and easier than going cold turkey. Remember a lot of what we have is addictive. All this disappears after cleansing thankfully! Also I'll start to have slightly smaller meals. No snacks. Make sure you are drinking at least 2 litres of water include herb teas in that also.
There are feelings of elation and empowerment during the week but there's also times when toxins are moving that you will feel pretty grotty. Persevere the rewards are fantastic. Money cannot buy!

💚Carolyn’s Story💚

Carolyn Brown. Reflexologist/Beauty Therapist. In my late 30s I started to notice little changes; then I turned 40 & it all became unbearable. I’ve always suffered from long, heavy periods with bad PMT, severe bloating and migraines but this was another level. The mood swings became uncontrollable, I felt so low I just cried all the time; or I became so angry and unable to control my outbursts that I wanted to kill someone, genuinely feeling like I was going crazy. Rosacea developed on my skin for the first time, really effecting my mood and confidence, along with tinnitus, debilitating migraines, foggy brain, aching joints, heavier and even more irregular periods. The list goes on.
Desperate for help I went to my doctor. I was faced with, “OH no you are far too young,” but I knew something was not right. I tried lots of natural remedies but nothing was really working for me. Eventually, after going back and forward for test after test, they confirmed I was peri-menopausal .I am hormone sensitive so it was decided between us the best path would be to have the marina coil fitted, along with low level oestrogen patches.
It was a rocky start but has definitely taken the edge off my symptoms. There’s no longer heavy periods & other symptoms have reduced dramatically. Stress was a major trigger for my symptoms to intensify, therefore, it is imperative that I make time for self-love like a massage, walk, and time with a friend & some breathing exercises.

What I would add is that I truly I don't believe the medical intervention would work as well without also keeping a fit and healthy lifestyle. I participate in regular cleanses which includes colonic irrigation, some juice fasts and daily supplements along with high quality probiotics. This helps me drop the accumulated weight from round the middle and really boosts my energy levels and mood. This March I’m joining the spring cleanse and I shall post my results here.

💚Emma’s story💚

In this 4 year period I have studied to be a Woman’s Health & Wellbeing Coach. Learned about nutrition, hormones and woman's health. Whilst researching I was so inspired by how, as women, we just to accept and put up with this rollercoaster ride labelled menopause. At this stage I was literally floored by low mood and chronic fatigue for two weeks each month. Then, like a switch, it would shift. Back and forth I went to the Doctor requesting help through blood tests etc.... Still everything was returned labelled "normal" and I was always offered antidepressants which, every time, I declined.
I’m a real people’s person but I started to withdraw from everything and everyone. There was night sweats, anxiety, panic attacks, palpitations, weak bladder, avoidance of life in general accompanied by dark ;dark thoughts.

I knew these thoughts were not really me & that this was an imbalance of my hormones and, due to my training, I knew it would pass after a few days or at least lessen.
Finally my bloods were flagged and I was given HRT. I was terrified to try it, but I had tried everything else natural so eventually I bit the bullet. Even now I'm still fighting for the right dose and looking for ways to rebalance all the hormones that are missing.

As a qualified Menopause Coach I’ve found some really good hacks to help our hormones; mental health and wellness. I have absolutely walked this walk and that's exactly why I am here with these amazing women to help walk you through this journey too.
